How’s your WFH workload, all? This week: Mon: 10 am - 2 am. Tues: 9 am-8 pm. Wed: 10 am-9 pm. Thurs: 10 am - 8 pm. Fri: 9:30 am-8 pm. Sat: 10 am - 7 pm. Sun: noon - 4 pm, then 7 pm - 11 pm.
This ... is ... not ... sustainable! I’m the sole earner and have a kid, so “just quit!” during a pandemic is not it - and “setting boundaries” ain’t easy when I’m always reachable by text/zoom/email. I’m fortunate to have a job, but damn. Working From Home = Working Forever From Everywhere. And it sucks.

Just got an offer at EY in chicago. Are people in the office? Remote? Traveling? My interviewers were from all over the US and more established in their career so seemed to wfh more regularly.

How do you work 2 remote jobs? I’ve seen many posts about doing this and finding success. I am interviewing for a remote basic inside sales rep but also have an actual AE job where I’d be in office two days a week. What are some tips and tricks here? Also, how do you deal with LinkedIn having 2 jobs?

Hi everyone! I am a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) and have been with my company for a bit over a year and a half. I am one of the few that has stayed this long, 1 of 2 bilingual techs, and there’s been a high turn over rate in technicians since I’ve start but it has increased drastically lately so in light of that I was thinking of asking for a raise. I currently get paid $21/hr. Any recommendations how I should go about asking for a raise, how much more I should ask for, etc.?

Smallish firm that just merged with another smallish firm. We're switching tax software and about 3/4 of my team is anxious about any change after a couple of roller coaster years full of changes already (pre-merger and unrelated to it.)

Anything you recommend to ease the transition? If it makes a difference for your advice, staff is on the older side. They had buy in on the software and plenty of demos and time to check it out and test it etc. But implementing it is making them anxious

I have an associate full-time offer from a Big4 & an Analyst offer from a decent consulting firm. The pay is in the 60 range for big4 and 70s for consulting firm.
What would you do? I'm not sure what the consulting job will be like but I wouldn't need a masters degree which is great. I am also an analytics minor which is useful.

If you have to pay back a sign on bonus do you get back the withholding on it when you file your tax returns? For instance if the sign on bonus is 10k, there si withholding on that. So you actually receive 6k (assumption). But if you leave the company you pay back 10k no? How do you get the 4k back?
