Thoughts/advice: my boyfriend and I met when I was in college at 18 and he was 23. We’ve been together 6 years. The first 3-4 years were long distance and then we moved in together in 2020. We have a 1 year old son. He told me he knew I was the one when we moved in together (4 years in) and bought my engagement ring a year ago right before I had our son but still hasn’t given it to me yet. I’m ready to leave honestly. Am I being dramatic and should keep waiting or is his head somewhere else?

Planning a wedding less than a year out and I’m stressed. How much is everyone spending on photo/video these days? I regret not looking into how much it would cost before booking the venue. I didn’t think photography was going to be $4000 average. People I know are spending $8-10k just for photos and video which I think is insane! Any suggestions? I don’t have connections that would do it for a lower price. Based in NJ. Looked at larger companies (e.g. George Street) but I’m scared to mess it up

Is anyone looking for an SDR? If so, I can share my resume :).

I work in a small company. My small sales team is amazing, I’m the first SDR, super happy with my managers and learning a lot.
The CEO though is always getting in the middle and micromanages me to exhaustion.

Why is he doing this? He always makes me doubt myself and I end up being super frustrated and not performing to my max.

What is the salary range for an ASM of buy buy baby?

I’m in a closing role now, I’m selling cable. I’ve gotten it a few times where I’ll apply for an SDR role in SAAS and the recruiter will say, “We decided not to move forward because we have other candidates that are more experienced and because you’re in a closing role now”. Should I stop telling the recruiter I’m in a closing role? Should I go after an AE role? How do I get a job in SAAS with no experience?

Has anyone made the switch from manufacture sales to tech sales? If so, what steps did you take? I have been in sales for about 12 years now. Would love any advice.

Seen a few looking for job opportunities, so wanted to share my company who are looking to hire. BD/Partnerships managers.

How do you actually, logistically go from Sr SDR to AE- do you have to start in Growth/Mid Mkt? I've only ever worked Enterprise and would like to keep it that way.

What do I need to do to show my boss I'm ready for an AE role?

Is your base plus commission a 50/50 split? Mines is like a 40/60 split and would prefer a higher base.

I was very successful as an internaional sales exec at a startup for 15 years before we were bought by a large publicly traded company. The culture shift was dramatic, as was the way that I was expected to work. I was laid off a tortuous 3 years after the buyout.

While I was in some ways relieved (put me out of my misery!) I spiralled pretty hard and after a while started working PT jobs, gig type stuff, etc. while I figured things out, and healed from burnout.

Does anyone have motivating/good sales books to recommend?

How do you handle aggressive, hard-ass leadership?

I was on a group strategy call and our VP says "OK *account manager* (me), we have decided that your new focus needs to be electronics, do you understand that?" He said it in a very stern tone of voice. Well of course I understand it because it was my f*cking idea that I brought to his attention prior to Christmas.

IMO, this guy does nothing. He steals the ideas of his team members and then acts like tyrant in front of people.

Has your company acknowledged what's happening in Minneapolis? Should it?

I am an SDR looking to transition into sales ops. Any tips/advice, referrals, or postings would be much appreciated.

SalesForce folks, a recruiter reached out for an opportunity to interview for a AE position in my specialty. I noticed there is also an opp available locally for a Strategic Account Manager in my vertical as well.
Any one know of pay difference between the two, responsibilities/expectations, how they are viewed in the org itself?
I understand they are different but in my job today, I handle both roles so can go in either direction.
Appreciate any input.

So I have experience in residential sales. I’m thinking of getting into tech sales. What company can I start with? I’m based in Canada

Ok so I work for a Contract Review AI. It’s amazing but we’re trying to build brand awareness. I’m a Business Development Manager who has been leveraging cold calling mostly, but I suck at email writing. How would you really boost your engagements in the Legal space?
