I applied for a job at a well-known healthcare company a couple of months ago. I had a number of remote interviews and then they asked me to fly out for a final round of in-person interviews. Later that week they told me that they were going to be making an offer. Another week has gone by and still no offer. They said they are still working on it. Is this the new norm for recruiting? I have other offers and can't keep waiting for these foot draggers.

Is ghosting after "successful" in person interviews a common practice?

Love my best friend and wish him the very best. But sometimes I feel a little jealous with the roles he’s getting/being offered, which makes me feel horrible. I’m helping him prep & interview for new jobs at my dream companies and they’re giving him interviews/offers for jobs 30-50k more than where I’m at, and a level higher (M). I just remind myself that he’s in NY and has 5-6 YOE to my 3YOE and LCOL/MCOL. Does anyone else struggle with jealousy?

For me a typical day looks like this 9 am- sign in and check emails 930-11 : look for a new job 11-2 lunch and nap 2-3 : sometimes meetings, mostly begging people for billable work 3-4:30 - proposal work if I have it or more job hunting 5-9pm family time and dinner 10-3am - netflix, videogames, cry myself to sleep

Do you believe in forgiving student debt in the US? Predatory loans with a bleak path towards repayment, I can see (and justify!) accommodations being made. A blanket forgiveness policy seems simplistic and fiscally irresponsible at best. What am I missing?
