Does anyone at Rutgers know where I can find a flexible part-time job for students on campus? I only found two campus positions on handshake and haven’t heard back from either yet. I feel like there has to be a lot more out there than what I’ve seen on handshake
Something similar to the digital classroom support specialist or tech help desk would be great. I consider myself tech savvy

@D3 @D1 I used to shrug and say “whose life are we saving here?”
Really pissed off my managers :P
Client “reply all’d” asking why I was added to the team.
D1 that’s a feedback I’ve received
Senior partner: “I went through the deck you sent, which slide should I look for original insight?”
Lmao ok thats hella snarky
There is a sense of calmness around you.
I mean wtf- I am supposed to be a freak and run around naked in confusion?
D1’s comment has appeared in my notifications numerous times this week, and it is no less hilarious every time I see it.
Similar to D1, "You seem happy and calm. The sense of urgency does not show” - duh 🙄 should I run around the client site like a chicken with its head cut off? Is it wrong to be happy ?? Why do I need to show the sense of urgency and fidget around like a school kid? I think there is more credit to me if I keep calm and meet timelines 😏
😂😂😂😂😂😂 WELLL SAID!! Because same
You're too direct to be a woman, as a woman you should be more subtle, like when you want your husband to give you a purse, you subtly ask for it, not directly...impact that matters right?
When I get a narcissist on the phone wanting trouble shooting help, 9 times out of 10 the whole conversation is them ranting. I don’t say anything until they’re done and I ask them one question and they immediately start yelling you don’t know anything, you’re stupid, why can’t you just fix my problem! lol I answer sometimes, with I just do Tech Support not Psychiatry! Have a great day! Lol
A partner once called me “useless"
Funny how a partner calls anyone else useless /s
You know you’re a senior, right?
I think they meant senior associate, right? Not as in elderly?
Senior Partner: “You aren’t here to take notes. Open your mouth tomorrow and contribute. We aren’t Deloitte for god sake.” This after 1 day of a 2 day client workshop and I was a very young associate. SP was snarky but in general love that guy. #truestory
Deloitte 84 - I feel the mentee would be better served with some predetermined role and talking points. Even talking is learning.
Client: “I paid for this?"
Thanks for the backup slides. Where is the main deck?
One of my SMs told me that "its not consultant like to bring coffee creamer to the client site." Mind you this was a local project (maybe 10 min away from me) and all they served in the break room was powdered cream so I figured to buy cream and leave it at the office. I left the company shortly afterwards.
Well they would hate me cuz I travel with a whole week worth of food and don’t hesitate to store it in the clients fridge (sorry not sorry)
You have a great technical skill set & in depth application expertise; but lack “core consulting skills - “aka making decks” (I’m a technical architect.....not a ppt architect) 👊🏻😵
This is why I don’t plan on being on consulting forever. Would rather be respected for my knowledge, insight & execution of deliverables than my ability to make PowerPoints
^ E1 - we are doing harsh feedback, not humble brags.
Is it in? I can’t feel anything
Bad either way lol
"You're not in college anymore"
"you need to improve or you might not find yourself in this project much longer."
Received as an analyst from the consultant on a project and the senior consultant that replaced her. Both left the company shortly after, projecting much? 😊
BCG1 you are the real MVP
Partner: you’re not prepared to have this conversation now. Call me when you’re ready, not when you think you’re ready <he cuts the call at last syllable>
This is definitely my worst nightmare.
