Has anybody had multiple reservations in different places at once? I have a point stay for my mom over NYE but want to use my corporate rate for an overlapping trip for myself. In different parts of the world and want to ensure nothing gets cancelled

You probably can, but you might not get credited for any points that you may earn. Also, they might lock your account. They locked my account for awhile because of an overlapping stay which was some error on their end, but it took multiple outreach to customer service before they unlocked my account. Lol. I would call just to be sure.

Add your Mom to the reservation. I have done this multiple times in the past

like

You're supposed to check in yourself when you book the room, points or cash. Even if it doesn't get cancelled automatically, your mom may not be able to check in without you, especially using a corporate rate.

You won’t get multiple nights for overlapping nights but I’ve done this at two different hotels in the same city

Not likely to get cancelled because hotels operate separately- it’s not like airlines

To clarify, my mom is on points and has her name added. I would be the one using my corporate rate. I’ll email my ambassador though and see. I dont carr about the nights/points.

I’ve done this plenty of times. Wife had a girls trip in MI and I went to WA to visit an old college buddy.

Just add your Mom to the reservation and she’ll be able to check in without you.

Policy for most of the chains is that you’d only get the night credit for one of the stays, but it’s inconsistently enforced. They’re also not supposed to get your status benefits, but they likely would as well

Hey all,

Are 4 days enough to do this trip Toronto - Montreal - Quebec City - Toronto. Husband and I are taking Thursday & Friday off + weekend. I’m a bit skeptical driving in unpredictable December weather. The ones who done this trip please suggest safety + entertainment + if it’s worth it in winter. Or should we just go local and do something like horseshoe resort and winter wonderland. We’ve already rented the car for those days, will have to drop it back Sunday 10 AM.

Thank you so much!

Date: Saturday, August 27th
Time: 7:00 PM

I was planning to be out and about in the city on this day anyways, so this works perfectly (whether or not people show up)!

If you have any other recs, post them below! We can also iron out and make final decisions together!

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Amex corporate green card or CSR? I’m not seeing many benefits to the Amex and I’m wondering whether I should just stop paying the annual fee and apply for CSR instead and get reimbursed for business expenses from that card. Considering I can only put business reimbursable expenses on the Amex, it’s not accumulating points very fast. Would I be better off consolidating my points on CSR? Amex platinum doesn’t seem like the right move for me right now.
