McKinsey & Company Bain & Company Hey everyone -
Not the exact right bowl, but looking for advice/referrals for a close family friend trying to break into ESG/climate change/sustainability consulting.
They have ~7 YOE in finance (mostly junk debt, some S&T) and 20 YOE in development banking at an IGO (think World Bank, doing everything from public debt offerings, infrastructure, etc. all w heavy ESG/compliance requirements).
Thanks for the help!

EY 1 willing to help me out here ?
Eyscny@gmail.com
I had an offer from McKinsey and don't have an MBA, so yes.
Why didn't you take it EY1?
I would have come in as an associate just like an MBA, it would be a big pay hit to where I am now. They start everyone at associate. I had hoped my experience working closely with them would bring me in at EM but it didn't go that way. Part of me still wanted to go, their process and company are so well run but I am gone way too much now and at McK, I'd end up divorced.
EY1 what practice are you in?
Similar situation as EY1, I also had an offer earlier this year, but would've been a step backwards from a career progression perspective.
Accenture 1- would u be willing to share how u got urself plugged-in to the interviewing process. good way to reach you?
Yes A1 throw us a burner.
I am sector focused. I work in PI technically but worked with them closely on 2 TAS projects. I worked directly on their team on the second. They suggested I apply so I did. Working FT the process took a long time to complete test, cases and interviews.
And as EY1 says above- whole process has taken me about 2 months so far including prep time.
Took me almost 6
Did cases in office near client site
Hm... I first reached out to friends early May now that I actually looked back at my emails... So actually about 3 months
A1 what experience level are you?
pre-MBA
