Has anybody looked into getting a real estate license and work part time along with their current job? My hours aren’t that intense and I have an interest in RE and investing and thought this would be a good way to start in the industry

I saw a stat somewhere (can't remember where now) that there are currently more licensed realtors than homes for sale in the US. A couple of my extended family members are doing relatively well for themselves as residential realtors but they've also said how tough it is to get listings in this market. Not that it was easy before, but it's even less so with inventory where it is.

My approach was to get licensed and donate my time to a commercial broker that I formed a relationship with. Was an amazing experience and put me in touch with plenty of people that helped my career at the bank (prospects). That said, my plan was to learn enough to bring in value and be part of sizeable deals that don’t require much day-to-day effort. I moved to Canada before that really matured but would do it again if I saw a way to connect the dots

Currently at a job where I just don’t like people or the work all that much. Fewer clients possibilities (we’re basically an in-house team) than our sister office plus I have no desire for a promotion. Sister office is much more of an actual agency plus the culture is way more up lifting- I can vouch personally. I would love to transfer to the other office or just look for new opportunities. How do I bring up wanting an internal transfer without making it sound like I will leave otherwise?

1st of all: I’m super inspired by this bowl. I’m now mid-30s and recently went 50+ days without drinking and felt good/productive. (Longest streak since before turning 21) But how do you stick with it? I’m conflicted bc I haven’t hit a “rock bottom” and part of me loves a glass of wine to unwind and mark the end of the workday, but I also have a hard time stopping once I start (no such thing as 1 glass). Feel boarder-line between these 2 worlds and unsure where to go. Anyone feel similar?

I have 17,000 vested stock options, total number of shares at the time of my contract was 4million. I’m a bit confused about share dilution and if it’s worth it for me to buy some of my stock options… thanks in adv!
