You still make decks nobody cares about in account, just more of them, about less interesting topics... and add finance, day to day client ego stroking, and champion of misery to your list of activities
Sad but so very true
Yikes. No one in their right mind ever goes back to account. We have it soooooo much better it’s honestly a social injustice.
Why account when you could go client side?
Sorry you’re right. I didn’t mean to be so harsh. I’m just saying, maybe being flexible in the nature of the roles you go after will open up more client side opportunities. For instance, strategists lend themselves well not just to the in-house marketing team but also product management. Also sometimes biz dev. Good luck out there
15 years in? Don’t worry you only have another five to go before retiring.
Oh boy. If you think no one cares about your decks just wait til you find out how little they care about your SOWs and status reports.
I was account first, strategy is definitely the way to go. But I've seen one person switch the other way.
Same and agree
Yeah yeah yeah I know. Honestly the biggest reason I want to move to account is job security. So many more leadership opportunities available.
^^ Y’all think I’m joking !!
Shoots ain’t all that
Wait until you’re senior enough to shift to running or co-running an agency
