I lived in Brookline for ~3 years and loved it - I’ve lived in Eastern Market for 4 years and would argue it’s even better. I love Boston and DC reminds me of it in many ways but I’ll never go back to the Boston winters.
Yeah, this past winter was a joke. I even had snow tires ready to go for my car. This is what happens when you’ve lived in New England for your entire life 🤣
Now I can’t stop thinking about Zaftig’s banana stuffed french toast. Should have never left!
Omg. And the bagels from Kupels!
Logan Circle has a similar vibe to the South End, Navy Yard is like Seaport, Woodley Park is kinda like Brookline
Yeah....no
Try Navy Yard, SW waterfront, or Georgetown waterfront.
I have a car, so no big deal
How about Capital Hill near 8th St? It might have a Brookline vibe. If you want more shopping options, I’d go for DuPont/West End/Georgetown. Logan/Shaw may work for you too.
Agree with the Eastern Market/8th street Capitol Hill recs! Plus easy access to H street, Navy yard and Logan circle/Shaw areas
Oh man. Went from Coolidge Corner to Dupont, but not the same! Good luck finding something. Maybe somewhere within walking distance of U/14th and 17th.
Lived in CC by the TJs for a year. Loved the area
I lived in Union Square in Sommerville, but I would say the Wharf area would be your best bet.
Lived in Boston/Beacon Street- Brookline/Chestnut Hill for ~7 years and I agree with the other posters. Navy yard and SW Waterfront are definitely similar to seaport. Brookline (the Beacon street parts and not the Tom Brady neighborhood parts) could be like a combo of Logan Circle and Woolley Park. Cap Hill and Georgetown are similar to Back Bay. Georgetown reminds me the most of Boston especially since M street has resemblance to Newbury.
