Has anybody wished to get laidoff. No idea why i am feeling that way. I have no motivation to work and always have a thought wish i get laifoff. Just trying to see if someone has same feeling as well and how do you cope with that

I got a temporary furlough back in March and I was ecstatic.

Mi old coworker did. I jumped ship before they decided to do layoffs but she can’t wait for them to lay her off. She hates it there (so did I) and can’t wait for them to let her go smh

I did pre covid and also I'm in a country where I would get a heavy severance if laid off without cause. I'm very happy to have a job right now.

Not wished to get laid off, but I have wished to be asked to roll off my project. Actually, that happened last year and I was so excited to leave the toxic client and team environment I was in. I lost all my motivation and my performance started going down the drain, and people noticed. I think the reason why I didn’t get in trouble or called out is bc my track record was impeccable. Top performer. Not to say I was safe from getting fired....but, being well-liked my my PPMDs helped

Yes I did, last year and in fact did get laid off last year. I needed to break out away from the political nonsense that Partners were playing.

Greenhorn question: if you suspect a lay-off in the future may be possible, is it better to quit on your own terms beforehand because it looks better to your next employer than being laid off?
