I am pursuing my MBA at one of the top 3 MBA colleges in Canada. As fall recruiting approaches, MBB jobs listings are popping up on the college's recruiting website. Unlike US schools, the Canadian business schools do release the grades to the companies. How strict are MBBs on filtering out the candidates on the basis of grades?

My wife and I have 2 children. We got married young and I have handled all expenses since marriage. I've even paid for some of her schooling and have encouraged her to continue finishing her Bachelors (she has difficulty choosing what to study and insinuated that when I mention the drawbacks of certain fields, it puts her off studying at all, she's also in student loan debt because her family took out loans in her name and never paid them off).

Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do. Finishing up my first year of big law, thinking of starting my own practice while I work at my current position. Thinking that in a few months, I’ll concretely work solely for my own practice full-time. How difficult is it to gain clients (mainly PI and civil lit)? My mentor also offered me to be an off counsel while I’m working at my current job so that I can refer cases for a cut, would there be an ethical issue? FYI my firm does unrelated law to PI and doesn’t forbid doing extra work.

Which company i should join persistent or cognizant?

Recently I cleared 2 technical rounds and had salary discussion with HR on 26th July.
When I enquired about offer letter last week, hr replied in mail that "Since your education under blacklist with cognizant, we are unable to process with your offer. Many of college alumni are already working with cognizant. Even mailed them what part of education is blacklisted but they are not replying.should I still expect offer letter from them?

A friend is doing this and I want other opinions: Has anyone considered setting up a small franchise (one with lower cap reqs), using that revenue to set up a second one etc etc? It seems like a solid business plan and they claim it’s loads better than “joining the rat race” – Anyone know why this isn’t the amazing plan it seems to be?

I have 5 YOE in Analytics... always thought I wanted to be a DS, but every job (even the junior ones) required experience in ML development. Though I am part of the ML project, I'm not the person develop the model. And I have a hard time when the interviewer ask about how I develop the model and what hyperparameters I tuned. I know the thought process and stuff but 'I' wasn't the one who did that part in the project. How to convince them that I could do the job without taking credit of others.

I’ve been a data analyst for a little over a year for my current employer. I manage databases, input new information, solve issues utilizing root-cause analysis, and I maintain reports on a daily basis. The only thing I don’t do is work with coding such a SQL. I’m currently enrolled in Coursera Google Data Analytics Certification to learn more about SQL.
I want to get a job in data analytics that uses SQL. How do I show that I know SQL without having direct SQL related work experience?

I’ve got about 20 years cross channel experience in marketing, split between big brands and startups, and I’m considering pivoting into a data science/data analyst role. I know it will initially be a step back in comp but is it at all realistic for a person with certificate level experience in data analysis but a decent marketing management background to expect $150-200k comp or is that mostly for degreed candidates (or not realistic at all)? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

The most harmful example I came across was bias in ML for the criminal justice system.
