Yes, because I took a rarely used but highly highly lucrative deduction lol. I deducted my mba tuition and expenses ($50k+) before the loophole was closed.

I won with zero penalty but it was a huge pain and I was too cheap to hire a CPA.

Yes unreimbursed business expense deduction. Even though I was always confident in my situation, an audit is still scary and caused a ton of stress.

I was audited by NYS when my first job out of college didn’t correctly withhold bc I was their first out of state employee.

It sucked monstrously, I was already barely making ends meet, and I just remember constantly crying for the 6 months it took to fix. The total cost to me was right around the cost of small claims (a fortune to me at the time) so I didn’t get any closure or money back from ex-employer either.

Hi Fishes

I wanted to know the Employee Perks/ benefits provided by
Freshworks Inc to employees.

I am currently working in a Company where in they pay ₹ 5,000/- a month for wellness reimbursement, free Cab, food Annual Education reimbursement upto ₹3,50,000/- etc

All employees are eligible to these benefits and these are beyond the CTC.

Does Freshworks Inc provide any of the above or any other benefits besides CTC ?

I have never done freelance work and was given the opportunity to take part in a cool project. My problem is it’s a proactive case by a brand new agency and it’s their own project, meaning there’s no client who pays for the work. For them it’s PR for their new business, but I think they’re expecting me to work completely pro bono. It does have potential for a great case and I’d love to have it in my portfolio, but is it reasonable for them not to compensate me? Any tips on how to approach this?

Currently job hunting. I know a few retired C-level executives who tell me that they would hire me at the director level in pretty much any role (despite currently being an individual contributor) because I'm extremely driven, a life-long learner, a natural leader, and deeply educated in diverse fields (PhD in engineering and MBA in analytics). However, I can't seem to land a senior role. How do I convince an executive to take a gamble on me based on my past success and strong future potential?

I am dating an African American woman. Together 3+ yrs, in general things are good. Would like to take our relationship to next level but I worry cultural difference may be an issue long term. By cultural difference I mean things like — tendency to divorce (I think the Nigerian / African culture has more marital patience), first world expectations in life (my gf has never left USA before and I want to live in Nigeria, with all its 3rd world problems, at some point), etc Anyone faced this before?

My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. Can anyone recommend books they’ve found helpful for L&E matters, privacy matters, product matters, or marketing/advertising matters?

Tata Consultancy Services made a revenue of $25B last FY. This translates to roughly 194546Crores. As per reports Rajesh Gopinathan, our beloved CEO saw a bump of 26.6% on his remuneration which sums up to 25.77 CPA. TCS saw a record breaking YOY revenue which was from $22B to $25B. Now without complaining or starting a feud, lets start on a healthy discussion about what & how TCS could have done better this year for their front end employees who indeed lead to the revenue every year!
