Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

I’ve been reading Reddit threads written by people who got fired at the Big 4. It seems like none of them are willing to take responsibility for their performance. People don’t just get fired for no reason at the Big 4.
Low utilization gets you unwanted attention. The assumption is often that a person’s utilization is low because performance on assignments is poor
What were they doing? Just didn’t click? Lazy?
Poor attention to detail. Not getting their work done and not telling their supervisor that they needed help, poor productivity, etc. etc. oh, and my favorite, losing work papers !
Somehow always having technical problems no one else is having.
Yep same here. Poor performance.
On the Apprentice ....
Yes at Deloitte they do deloitte op
At the staff level, it’s utilization- management by spreadsheet. We lost a great team member in tax on a difficult engagement last year. Engagement leaders didn’t hear about it until it was done.
Yeah, she was effectively cheating time. Billing time to clients & never doing any of the work.
Not fitting in the team. Not good having a nice relationship with a manager or partner (usually when they are opposite sex). Low performance or on apprentice.
I was fired from another Big 4 after had enough to be blame acting as asked by my manager when I was SC and had a conversation when her and she didn't like what I have said to her. On the next Monday I was fired and the week after I found a job at Deloitte where I am doing good (macromanagement may be) and already moved to manager.
There is no real reasons if they don't want you they will act so
Ive seen: Fired due to not showing up for work, inappropriate time charging, cheating on CPe. Laid off usually due to poor reviews. Counseled out because the communication wasn't strong and got bad reviews (typically not asking questions early enough or at all, not meeting deadlines, not completing tasks in time, not moving things up for review quickly..could be anything).
I’ve seen: 1) being promoted to manager too early and doing a really shitty job. 2) having a really piss poor attitude as a new staff- refusing to do certain assignments because they were beneath you and announcing that to the directors and managers who told you to do them. Purchasing stock from a company that you were assigned to purposely to try to get out of working on it. 3)senior not doing time sheets for months, even after being suspended without pay for it, and then still not doing them 4)performance issues 5)performance issues and having a big head/attitude problems about how awesome you are
