No, don’t jump ship. Either your job won’t change, you’ll get a different role, or you’ll get laid off with severance. They’re a very sophisticated buyer, so will invest money to improve operations and profitability. If you don’t like they direction they take things, then you can decide to leave.
Definitely wait it out - no reason / incentive to leave until you’re certain you don’t want to be there anything.

They have a sweet office except didn’t offer me a job. I def failed the modeling test lmao
My significant other has worked for Vista companies twice. Once as an acquisition and now in his current role at a large software company. It was challenging at the acquisition one because the org went from start up to pretty corporate. They brought in a Vista-bred CEO that really mismanaged the company. He spent all their money, was fired and ran off with the CMO. No joke.
But in his current company, which has been apart of Vista for a few years now, it seems to be going better. Still standard large corporate issues but from what he hears, aside from staffing up the company, not much has changed since they were acquired. A lot of the original crew is still there. He started his new role this fall and was selected by recruiters for the role specifically because he had worked for a Vista company before.
Stick around and see what happens. Acquisitions can be scary but you could also end up prematurely leaving a good thing. Plus, vista seems to like to re-hire their own so never a bad thing considering they seem to be everywhere.

Why would you quit because the business is being acquired? I don't think it should have impact on your job.

I worked in private equity for a number of years acquiring (and turning around) growth oriented businesses and would expect there to be minimal impact on the day-to-day of junior level employees. More drastic changes can occur, of course, if your boss is fired and/or the entire management team changes.
The prevailing narrative is that PE will take your benefits, your smoothie machine, and instill a new regime of corporate frugality but for most businesses - especially growth ones - that is usually not the case and can very uneventful.
Yeah it seems like the only thing I can find online about companies who have been acquired by them is the modeling test and/or IQ/personality test.
Really appreciate the in depth answer. Honestly that’s what I’m scared for... “startup” to a “corporate” lean profit machine.
There’s a lot of internal concern over the current management team and the, what some think is, unfair/rushed/poor sale. The tension is real and I’m not sure if it’s something I want to continue if Vista is just going to slim us up and push value... which I understand is the point of an acquisition but at what expense does that come from?
Vista takes a framework approach managing their PortCos so the corporatization sounds right. But haven’t worked directly with them / their portfolio so can’t speak personally
