Has anyone been given an offer or received further movement on their application after a month or more from your last interview? Not sure if it’s odd that the company reached out after my final round interview to have a call and “discuss next steps” but then they haven’t responded to me since I’ve followed up (I’ve poked 3 times every 11 days or so but I plan to leave it be now until they respond).

I have been working at a Vancouver startup for about 2 years with mix roles. I have mainly developed in Python. The company went down and I have been jobless for 4 months. I have been actively applying for jobs, but most companies are looking for SDE with web dev experiences (JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular). Hi everyone. I have a technical interview for a Google Technical Program Manager role this Thursday. I’m trying to find information on what kind of questions they would ask. So far, I can only find examples of behavioral questions. Does anyone have any experience on how technical these questions get? I got tripped up in a previous interview when asked how to design a system for millions of customers. I’d love to be able to study up before this one.

I got an offer from Capgemini (Aricent) of 35LPA(32Fixed +3variable) for senior professional 1.
Before interview I had asked for 40 LPA.
But After Hr discussion post interview , I cake down to 35LPA fixed.
Still they offered me 32 fixed +3 variable.
Will they reconsider the offer by any chance, if I talk to to them. If not, then should I join cap gemini?

I know that their comp structure is way more than what i make right now, but wanted to still verify a range with the recruiter. I’m not sure if I took on too much this year. I’m going through a divorce with 2 young kids, took up a new job in a hyper growth start up, moving houses and most recently I was diagnosed with pre-cancer and am going into a surgery. I seemed to be doing a lot but yet I feel like I’m not getting the groove at anything. Especially at my work, I know I can do more and I’m a rockstar. At this moment, this rockstar feels like she’s on a crash post getting high.

Heavily subsidize healthcare (either paying all or most premiums or large HSA subsidies) or gym memberships (I'm talking like 80% equinox memberships)? Hello! I am moving from NYC to Dallas in a few months. I currently don’t own a car so I am researching now on what vehicle to lease for the next 3 years. I’ve been told from someone who lives in Texas that it is not safe to get a small car because the roads there are “rough” and that most drivers own suvs or trucks and drive really fast on the highways. I think I’m being paid way under market for my in-house job. 7yrs at company in NYC in the real estate industry. If In the same market would you comment your salary?

Do you explain the "why" as in-house or do you just give the answer? IMO the why teaches internal teams to ask "better” questions and might train them to call some of the shots.

Trying to make an argument for increase in headcount and looking for data. What's the size of your legal department? I'm finding data via ACC, CLOC, etc but most of it is for larger companies. For example, CLOC notes an average of 15 lawyers for "small" companies, defined as <$1B in revenues.

First comp cycle at current job, in July got like a 2% raise in SF which means massive inflation paycut. Is this everyone’s experience? It feels like our HR function is telling us to lateral if we want a comp adjustment even tho boss wants to keep me.

Hi Fish. Recently moved in-house to a newly public tech company. People are great, but the team is really understaffed. No paralegal or assistant- we are doing everything ourselves. Is this normal for in-house? Have been working close to big law hours in addition to doing all basic admin for the group. Seriously considering a return to biglaw. Am I being crazy?

Contriversal topic but here it goes: I’m in-house a F100 and happen to be a white male (although I do have a fairly severe “invisible” disability). Progression to a management level attorney is quite difficult despite the relatively large. Recently the company announced DEI initiative that includes targets and goals for women and people of color (not applicable to other minorities). I absolutely want more diversity in our law department - I’ve taken steps to help ensure that there is - but…
