I effectively received the agreed amount of money on my latest salary slip but I didn't sign any "new" contract. Is this normal? How does this work? I saw the thread about savings and many young lawyers (20s and 30s) don’t know how to open up a brokerage account or invest in their 401k. I know they don’t teach personal finance in school (though they should!), but my advice is that you should go to your local library and read a book about the subject. How much time in advance did you order your IVF drugs from a mail-in pharmacy (e.g. CVS caremark)? Should I wait until I get my period to order them to make sure I'm not already pregnant or buy them in advance? Waiting for the results of my IUI, but will move directly to IVF if it doesn't work.

Had my first miscarriage in 2019, got pregnant naturally that time. Tried for another 1.5 year after, and then went to RE. On my first round of Letrozole + trigger shot, we got pregnant. Saw twins at 5 weeks. 6 week ultrasound showed vanishing twin syndrome and we could only hear a heartbeat on number 2. 7 week ultrasound showed another strong heartbeat and we were getting hopeful. 8th week - no more heartbeat. Got a D&C and now feeling emotionally drained. Does it get any better? Feel hopeless

Just tested positive for COVID and I was supposed to start a medicated FET cycle tomorrow (would have begun taking estrogen pills tomorrow and target transfer date was July 28). Obviously, this cycle has to be called off, but now I’m worried about how soon we can get back to it. Anyone else been in this situation? I am on my second IUI attempt - I have PCOS and this time the ultrasound found no mature follicles after five days on letrozole. My RE is “stair stepping” the letrozole - moving to 5 mg immediately - in order to force ovulation. Has anyone experienced this? Taking letrozole mid-cycle?

I’m looking at a fertility clinic stats and the early 30s results look good (over 50 percent) but the over 40 year old category is well below the national average. I’m looking another clinic with less cycles but 40 plus category is almost at 20 percent success rate (above national average). Should I rely on these numbers in making a decision ?
