Has anyone been on the fence about switching jobs before starting a family?

Would love to start soon but I’ve been on the fence about switching companies. My current employer has pretty solid benefits for leave and healthcare but it’s a stressful role with a lot of chaos. I originally contemplated switching companies to somewhere less stressful but am worried that I’ll be starting from zero as a new employee and may not have the same benefits. Should I just wait until after to change jobs?

I've been working in the NHS as an orthopaedic surgeon for over 10 years. I have recently made the transition over to industry working for a pharmcovigilance and certification body TUV SUD. Question regarding health insurance: I am going to be giving notice later this month and new insurance does not take effect until 1st if the month after 30 days of employment. So, I will most likely have a gap of one month with no insurance. Is that looked at as a bad thing in regards to insurance companies and what they will cover in the future? I really do not want to pay almost 2500 for a month of premiums when my family really does not go to the doctor frequently except for emergencies....

I’m starting my first year as partner and really underestimated the cash flow challenges I’ve always heard about. With 3 kids, my health insurance is 5x, plus the tax burden, and despite a $100k bump, my cash flow is less. Aside from just being conservative, any advice? I recently got a very good offer from a Product company but the job role is Salesforce Support Manager. Though I don't mind being in support vertical but I am worried that I might drift away from SFDC Domain and get involved more in the Support process and eventually take my career away from Salesforce.

Insurance just denied me coverage for my next round of IVF. No questions here, just needed to say this to a group of people more likely to understand.

Folks, I received a letter from insurance denying IVF coverage. I am 37, had a miscarriage in March and have not been able to conceive since. I am absolutely distraught and broken. Has this happened to someone, will reappealing this decision help. Any advice or guidance will be appreciated as I wait to hear from my doctor's office. 😭🙏

Anyone enroll in dual insurance coverage? My wife is currently on my employer’s plan with me with a 25k lifetime fertility max. That’s 1.5-2 cycles of IVF as I understand it. We might need more, and her employer’s plan would also have a fertility benefit, so we’re thinking of dual enrolling her in both my employer’s plan, as well as her employer’s plan. Are there any tests you can get done to understand your fertility? I have PCOS and cannot start trying until next year or two. I would like to know if there will be any issues with conceiving due to my PCOS. I’m 29 right now. I asked my OBGYN and she said that unless I start trying, there’s not much in terms of testing she can do and that she wouldn’t recommend it. Has anyone ever gotten any fertility tests done to understand if you’ll have future issues?

How is everyone staying motivated at work while going through fertility treatments? On days when I have appts or get my period, all I want to do is google and read forums about it. My utilization is tanking (not because I’m blowing off work, but because I need to find and take on new work) but can’t get the energy to). I’ve told my manager about what I’m going through and she is supportive, but feeling guilty when I hear about how busy everyone around me is and I just can’t find the motivation.

My doctor is starting me off on 3 vials of menopur , along with other meds. Is this excessive? I have a good amh/fsh and I’ve done cycles before with just two vials of menopur

I am so sad and will seek therapy. Have one son via ivf and was overly optimistic . My next ivf cycle was awful, despite good amh/fsh, with a huge drop off with day 5 embryos and abnormal results. I’m going to cycle again and possibly another time but I can’t stop feeling so pessimistic and I don’t know if I can deal with the waiting game again.

Background: 33yo, sperm donor, blood work showing diminished ovarian res.

After my first round of blood work Dr is recommending IVF. My partner and I were really hoping to go the IUI route. I’m really only looking to have one child (or rather one full term pregnancy regardless of how many pop out that time). As of right now we aren’t seeing other concerns in my body just the low egg count.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to reverse prolactinoma naturally without a hormone meds?

Does anyone have BCBS Illinois insurance direct from the marketplace that covers IVF? Can you share the monthly cost? I’d like to switch insurance next year, my Aetna coverage through my employer is horrible, I have a lifetime amount that’s almost maxed out and I only have one normal embryo from my first IVf try. Has anyone had luck with increasing sperm count? My husband’s SA test results aren’t ideal (good morphology and motility but 10 million sperm count). He’s not overweight, not a smoker, drinks only occasionally (way less in quarantine, maybe once a month, and cut coffee down to two cups a day. He’s on proxeed now and vitamins recommended by our fertility doctor, but the doctor has been heavily recommending IUI or IVF and I’m not sure if we’re wasting our time trying to improve his count.
