I went when I was in college and I had a scholarship that paid for it. It was excellent and I highly recommend it! Huge conference, great speakers, great networking opportunities, and the biggest career fair I've ever been to with the most eager recruiters. I had multiple interviews at the conference itself and I didn't even have my bachelor's degree yet.
If your company doesn't already offer to pay your way to conferences, you should ask. If you have a Women in Engineering organization, see if you can get the organization to sponsor a trip. It's well worth it
Thanks for sharing! I definitely want to go next year!
I went one year and enjoyed it deeply. My company did pay for the registration fee, travel, and lodging. They were recruiting at the conference and I helped interview candidates for a few hours.
I would love to go! But our company doesn't pay for it, they barely even mention it.
I've always wanted to attend, but never had the financial means. I wish more companies would be willing to invest in stuff like this. It can only benefit them in the long run.
