What do you like about working in tech ?
Disregard my fishbowl title.
I’m looking at a couple of roles in program management at Amazon specifically in brands, seller central, VOC ads, etc
I’ve been an FBA seller myself on Amazon, have brand registry although I am not an active seller. I feel I have a really unique perspective to offer since I use Amazon as a customer and also used seller central.
I’m curious, do you think this would be an advantage to share or is it something to hide?

Just got a job offer from Accenture and have my H1-B visa transfer approved. I spoke with my current employer manager and client yesterday and they are requesting me to serve a 3 week notice instead of 2 owing to an important release. I also want to separate from my current employer on good terms, but how would I communicate this to my new employer? Do they usually defer joining date by a week or 2?Accenture
Background: Worked as a custom home builder for 15+ years.
Pulte is one of the larger National home builders, so they cut costs in largely the same ways all large corporations do: they design the most cost efficient buildings (down to the screw and nail), hire the lowest bidding subs, and have the best material buyers in the industry to get you a home for a great price.
This isn’t to say they are bad, but they are WalMart housing. Built quickly and cheaply, they get you the best bang for the buck out of new housing.
Tour a few model homes, knock on the walls, have your wife talk to the salesperson in another room and see how the sound travels.
They aren’t bad, just understand the product you are buying before committing hundreds of thousands of dollars to something you may not like at the end of the day.
Sorry gents. Time got away from me on this one. Unfortunately, every market is different. I would explore your local HBA and look up some local home builders in your area. Do your due diligence and interview with them against what you’re looking to achieve.
If you’re looking at townhome products, the larger companies like Pulte, Ryan, etc may be your only option.
Again, I’m not saying they are bad. But I am saying you’ll want to understand their product and finishes against what you’re expecting and the price you want to pay. Nothing worse than paying top dollar and getting a substandard product in return.

Yes! Good experience. They’re a standard home builder with a standard reputation
