Used it once. They tried to not give me the full service Marriott compensation after sending me packing with no rooms despite a reservation. It was a pain in the ass that took several emails, phone calls and Marriott screen shots to get them to give me the 90,000 points and $100. Eventually worked but my ass was chapped.

Got it twice last year. Once for overbooking and once because the hotel had a small fire and fire marshal demanded everyone out.

Worth a try - but looks like they warned you in advance as they may not honor

PSA: will not honor it if they tell you in advance of arrival. Prices have doubled since I booked, but I was told I’m out of luck. Nice service, Marriott.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

I work at a startup that has acheived a 100 mil valuation in under 2 years. During the pandemic, I moved from SF to Idaho because I love the outdoors. Now after closing a big funding round leadership has said that they need to become more concsious of the bottom line. In that guise, they've said they're going to reduce my salary 10% because I'm in a lower COL city, and that all my other benefits will stay the same. I'm livid. It's not like my level of work or value to the company is going down 10%. If anything, it's going up because I'm happier and more productive. I'm also not getting any more equity. I'm obligated to stick around a bit longer so my shares vest, but a PSA - this is NOT a way to treat your employees in a remote work environment.

Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. MBR question. I’ve never done one. Currently contributing ~$1000 into taxable per month. max 401k, HSA, Roth IRA. Company plan allows after tax contributions and in service distributions, so I think that means it’s a MBR green light. My plan is at empower so everything is done on paper, very cumbersome process, and there is a $40 fee for each in service distribution. I believe when I make an after tax contribution, it gets invested based on my investment options for my 401(k)? More in comments

How familiar are you with the cases of attorneys you don’t work under? Our firm is a small law firm and organized so that every partner has a secretary or paralegal (3 partners). We have a a couple of associates and law clerks that rotate between the partners. But each secretary normally sticks with their own partner. I work under the managing partner, so I also have a lot administrative and office management duties. Unless I’m asked to do a specific task, I never touch the other partners cases.
