A friend is having work issues. He made a stupid comment that pissed off the wrong person. His boss told him to find something else at the company or elsewhere. Then today he was put on a PIP. What is the point of a PIP when you've already been told there is no saving the situation? Could it be related to the relocation benefit involved? If you are terminated after a PIP is that considered 'cause'?

Over the past few months my husband has not really been taking care of himself-eating more junk food, not as active, grouchy, etc. I’ve tried talking to him, getting him out on walks with me, flat out buying healthier food.
