When submitting resignation do you pro rate the number of holiday days you would have accrued? I have leave booked around time of resignation (of which 5 days is PY roll over) so wondering if I can add an additional 2 days leave to the date from which I'm counting back 30 days from ie 20 days normal notice 5 days PTO (starts Thursday) puts me 27 days post submitting notice (wed). Could I add 27/365x 25 day holiday allowance = 2 extra days of leave I can add.

Microsoft is offering me a position of Software Engineer. I’ve gone to a therapist 3 times now, and I am unsure if this is the right therapist for me. I’m not sure how therapy is supposed to work as this is my first time, but it feels like she never really has much of an agenda to work through with me and I kind of run the appointment. I don’t mind doing a lot of talking but it almost feels like I’m just paying a lot of money to vent to someone, as she really just listens rather than giving me helpful advice or doing exercises with me. Is this normal?

I have a turbulent relationship with my parents - primarily because (1) my partner and I lived together before marriage; and (2) parents don’t agree with my partner’s actions of allowing me to take control of my career / financial decisions. My biglaw hours over the years do not help as there is no time to talk things through properly. My parents have tried to use emotional manipulation (eg that our relationship issues need to be resolved or else they will not talk to me again). What can I do?
