"Need some help to understand and decide my career track."
I just began my career in ZS Associates at an associate level after completing masters from the USA. The reason to choose ZS was because of not having a lot of relevant work experience to land any data engineering/ analytics related job in Big Tech firms. Given that the technology is changing very drastically, and from work life balance perspective in the future, would it be wise to shift into tech companies asap before it's too late?

The dog will win every time. Sorry.

Take it out for a walk and come back... alone.

I would pick the dog. Every time. She will find better men, but replacing a dog? Slim chance.
Good practice for when you have kids.

Dating a woman with a dog is like dating a single mother. It’s a packaged deal. She’s not dumping her kids.

I would pick my dog anytime. If they can't love my dog then you're not right for me dawg
Congrats, you are now a dog owner too. Entitled to one third of the bed for the rest of your relationship. Once the dog sleeps in her bed, you will never not get it to sleep in her bed.
My (now) husband would’ve written this exact post 6 years ago. We actually broke up because he wasn’t in to my dog (blue heeler- 3 years old at the time). He tried to train the dog to sleep anywhere but the bed, but it would just end up me and the dog sleeping elsewhere. Fast forward one year and he couldn’t imagine his life without the dog sleeping on him every night. Their bond is the absolute cutest too.
I guess what I’m saying is there is *potential* that you’re going to grow to love the dog so much you won’t be able to imagine you didn’t want it (even in the bed) at one point.
Does it sleep in bed with her? If so you’re fucked. If not it’s easy during a house move to train a dog that the bed is in X room (ie living room), solving the snoring problem.
As for the early wakeup, idk, shouldn’t you be up at 6ish anyway?

Just make sure you don’t get her pregnant. Can’t sleep with a dog then def cant sleep with a baby.

Can the dog just sleep in another room?

No way. More appropriate Q is if OP will be relegated to the couch in this case

This is definitely a thing for me and my boyfriend with my dog 😅 as much as he loves her too, it’s not ideal. She’s a 60lb lab mix and I usually take the fall and give her half of my side of the bed since he needs more room than I do. He moved to NYC earlier this year so not as big of an issue now, but if/when we move in together she will be trained to get on the bed by invitation only for sure.

Wishful thinking. You’ll need a king sized bed!!
Just train the dog not to get on the bed at night.... like...

There is no way you are winning over the dog. The dog is her responsibility and is helpless, so, she needs to take care of it. Maybe sleep on the couch at her place, you can always go to her bed in the morning.
Love my gf’s dog but he keeps me up. Not enough room at the foot of my bed with him there so my lower body gets very hot even if the AC is turned up. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it affects how often she sleeps over
I think I paid $1,200 for the king size one (not an insignificant amount to me). It is honestly worth every penny and more. The king comes with two cubes, so if you have a SO they get to pick their own temp. My sleep has improved 100x since getting it. You can set it from 55 degrees up to 105. I turn it on about 30 min before bed. I think on the newer ones you can even program it to gradually warm up in the mornings while waking up.
In the summer I used to turn the thermostat down to 65ish at night and it would still get so hot. Now I can leave it at 70ish and sleep so cool. I would occasionally have night sweats and haven’t had them since getting the CP.
For me, I cannot say enough good things about it, especially in these southern summers. In the winter it’s great too because too much central heat messes with my skin, but you don’t need it nearly as warm if you have the CP.
If you can somehow find a rental place that has a fenced in backyard and a doggy door you will be golden. But if this is just straight apartment life I don’t have much more advice besides getting a doggy barrier and keeping the dog in there overnight somewhere they have water. I know people that do this and the dog is completely fine with it and hasn’t changed a tad since they started with the barrier strategy
