With people going back to the office, which hypothetical situation would be worse: 1. Once you set foot inside, you can never leave (Hotel California style) 2. You can leave, but no matter what, you have to come back the next day, no vacation, weekends or sick days (groundhog day style). Edit: 10 hr days are mandatory.
I just graduated and I’m about to start my full-time consulting job with EY in July. My home office will be in Miami, and so I’m curious to know more about that branch’s culture as well as just being a young professional in this city. Thank you!
Anyone wants to get me the McK CEO Excellence book and charge it to McK! Don’t feel like paying $30 for it 🤣 I’ll pay for shipping haha.
Asking for a friend. Went to a t10 school for neuroscience and applied to med school last cycle but didn’t get the results he wanted (got into md programs but had a 524 mcat and a 3.9 gpa so was aiming for a t20 so is reapplying). During this extra year he is looking to get into life science consulting. He has only really done research/worked as a medical assistant but was wondering if anyone could help him get referrals or get direction. Putnam Associates ClearView Healthcare Partners TRINITY
Just curious - why would an agency hire a freelance ACD? Wouldn’t it make more sense to just hire the person?
Considering a move to NTT Data in a healthcare consulting role. Mixed reviews in the bowls. Major concerns are bench policy, staff aug roles, 2 week PTO, and high turnover due to job dissatisfaction. Recruiter and mgr had great things to say around growth and opportunity, which doesn’t align with feedback from the bowls or Glassdoor. Understanding things have changed there in the last few months, I need un-biased advice from fellow fish who have recently joined or can speak to recent changes
I just received notification my laptop shipped! 😱 I feel like a kid in a candy store! I start my new position in one week and am equally petrified and excited.
Creative 🐠🐠🐠, what’s your biggest pain point working with Strategy? How can we do better?
Any suggestions on what I should be asking during my upcoming review? 2nd year Corp associate who feels like they have made very little progress professionally during my first year. Firm has pushed me around into nearly every practice group to plug gaps so I feel like I am behind knowledge wise (not much cross over between AM and M&A skill wise IMO) and also that I’m being invested in less due to being unable to stick with a group longer than two or three months.
Has anyone applied for Global Entry recently? I put in my application in mid-February and I’m still waiting for a review. Wondering if it took this long for other people.
Confession: I want to talk to an older man

I hate corporate and consulting. But stuck in the trap of it being able to pay my bills. In all honesty is there no way out?
If you go to a wedding and the reception is three hours after the ceremony and in a different location, is it weird to wear a different dress to each? The reception is at the hotel we’re staying at so it would be super easy to change in between. The ceremony is also middle of day July in California so I could see wearing a short dress for that but then long dress for indoor reception later that night. Thoughts? I’m a “regular” guest, not bridal party or family or anything
I feel I’m getting hungry more often lately, just got compared w/ someone who can eat 6 burgers. I didn’t change anything in my diet nor am I still growing. How can I curb hunger ?
