Our day has come! Props to you, father fishies.
I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a remote Sr. Program Manager role. I took and passed the assessment and was moved to the hiring manager round which was scheduled for tomorrow. I got an email tonight saying that the Director of the group decided that the person must be in Seattle. I am in Austin, which is not an option. I’m disappointed! The recruiter will let me know if any remote roles come up but in the mean time, does anyone have any remote Amazon roles that they’d refer me to?

Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect

Not FB, but at Google, salaries are reviewed towards year end. You don't have to negotiate. Increases and refresher equity grants are based on performance. Isn't it similar at Facebook?
How do you negotiate for a raise? Do you give your manager a number?
Yes and it didn’t go anywhere. I kept getting hit with talking points. Facebook rarely negotiates for raises even if you were to get an offer somewhere else. They don’t even counter.
