Losing focus and desire to work today. Is it because it’s Monday or because it’s week 8 working remote? 🤷♀️
Anyone work at UHY? What's the culture like? How are the hours in busy season /non busy season? Do you work from home at all? I know they are back in the office. What's the dress code (I'm used to jeans and a golf shirt lmao)? Do the managers welcome new methods of preparing returns? Are they afraid of tech / make you prove out your formulas?
Any big Pharma companies hiring for tech project manager remote roles for system implementation?
Feeling guilty for taking a 30/45 mins lunch break and finishing the day before 7pm. But I guess I finished my tasks for the day and I can just tackle the rest tomorrow. Is that acceptable. I feel like I lost track of when to stop since WFH
Looking for a Senior Art director, temp to perm. Remote but based in NYC if we ever work in-person again. Please DM me for more info!!!
My firm is heading back to the office next month after 7 months of working remotely. I am dreading it because I have grown to love my work-from-home, yoga-pants-wearing, no-makeup lifestyle. It got me thinking about what priorities I want to carry forward as things shift more towards normal. What priorities or routines did you develop during quarantine that you plan to keep?
How many square feet does a couple need in a one bedroom? What’s the minimum, what’s comfortable, and what neighborhoods are good value for apartments that meet those requirements? We’ll both still work from home some days a week, but not regularly
I recently met someone in another country where I’m working remote. He asked me to be his girlfriend but I’m moving in about a month. He doesn’t want to do distance unless I move back (which is an option with remote work, but visas are tricky). I really like him but don’t know if I’d be able to move back here between work/borders/etc. Do I keep seeing him and just try to enjoy the now? A part of me just feels so sad about leaving and breaking up. Idk if it’s worth it.
In your opinion, where is the big law “office” going in the next few years. Do you expect them to keep the expensive real estate + eventually demand people back in, or consolidate, downsize their overhead and keep WFH? Relatedly, will that change the markets in the big metros?
I'm renting co-working space for a remote job in a building specializing in providing startups with dynamically sized workspace. Our county, city, and the building owners themselves all have mask mandates in place for individuals regardless of vax status. I've reported most of the people on the floor to the building admin for violating the mandates multiple times. How many more until I should escalate to the city?
Is there a penalty fo switching from an in-person GRE to remote? There’s no clear directions on this at ETS
Thinking of jumping later down the line and getting a remote job to play arbitraje in my favor (live in a country where currency is weaker for part fl the year). Don’t have to make same... cont
Still looking to hire a Supply Chain Strategy Manager. Based in SF / Dallas but remote is ok; 2-5 YoE in Strategy/Management Consulting; some focus work in Supply Chain preferred. DM me if interested!
What is your Remote work experience, Coronavirus Work-Life seems to have changed the way we work impactfully
Boss just emailed expecting team to work over weekend. Already spent 60h this week staring at screens WFH. Should I just ignore?
Guys - I just bought a home and moved in. The living room fan is remote operated and the seller took the remote with her (supposedly mistaken). We received a few packages that were meant for the seller and the seller reached out requesting for them. Ctnd..
Does EY promote remote work? If in the job location if it's written primary location only does that mean no remote work? Please reply
Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.
So my roommate has been staying elsewhere since we began quarantining and has been returning intermittently. Roommate has been paying half the electricity bill, which I have felt weird even charging for, but my friends have insisted that it is still both our responsibilities. Given WFH is permanent as of now, the electricity has been a bit higher with me home for the 10 hours I’d normally be gone. And with summer approaching, AC is going to double that cost. Do I still keep charging half? AITA?
Did I screw myself by being the first person to bring up salary figures with a startup? I tried to hold firm and make sure they said ballpark range first before I said if those align with my expectations, but she gave a vague “it depends on market, but I can give you a broad range from $45k-$90k for the role.” So I responded with $70k-$80k. Should I have asked for the highest range then of $80k-$90k? Worst case scenario, I don’t want it being revoked.

Just got an industry offer for 15% bump - do you think it's fine to put my notice now effective Jan or will they let me go earlier to avoid holiday pay?
Hi Ladies! Personal finance question: looking to buy a place and I live in a HCOL city. If we spend 36% of our monthly salaries on mortgage and have 22% leftover after bills (one kid daycare costs etc). Does that sound reasonable?
Going to be starting a new job soon (in consulting) after a break when I adopted a dog. She is still learning and I don’t trust her to stay quite through all my meetings. Do you think this is going to be an issue? How can I best manage the situation while we’re WFH?

Currently live in NYC, got an industry offer with a 4% pay raise but new role will be in Princeton NJ. Better work life balance but I’m single in my late 20s. Bad move or good move?
Just got an email saying I've been selected as a candidate for a promotion in June...is this a new process?
About tired of the agency “life” thinking about going to the client side and being the one who gets catered to! I’m done babysitting unreasonable clients! How to make the jump, blights welcome.
Can someone help me evaluate a Facebook Product /Analytics data scientist offer? 5YOE (not directly in big tech company) Offer for IC4 Base 153K RSU: 160K (over 4 years) 10% performance bonus The recruiter said they're willing to negotiate, so wanted some advice from folks here. Thanks in advance!

For those on Conditional Green Card: My lawyers have filed for the removal of conditions (I-751) about 3 weeks ago but I haven’t received the application receipt yet which automatically extends my green card’s validity for 18 months. My current green card expires in 2 weeks. If I don’t receive the receipt by then, do I need to be worried or as long as the I-751 was filed before my card expires I’m okay?
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/05/26/magazine/stock-market-coronavirus-pandemic.html. Good read and it’s taken me a while to realize that the stock market isn’t the same as the economy and remember how forward looking the market is not just the next quarter
