Went in-house (small agency) and feel more like a janitor than a creative

yeah - hired to be the #2 strategist- lead a team, client work, decks, manage a team.
turned into - client babysitter. project manager. etc
Ouch. I feel this, been there, you need to set boundaries from the first day on the job...but, it doesn’t matter, in the thick of things, fires gotta be extinguished.
Yes - worked at two small agencies and everyone was required to “wear multiple hats” which mostly created an inefficient system. Set clear boundaries about your responsibilities versus someone else’s, and don’t get caught up in the “everyone’s a team player” excuse you’ll hear.
100%. Sometimes it really bothers me, other times I’m happy to learn new things (I just wish there was enough time to learn properly/comfortably)
No, my job has been pretty much the same no matter where I work.
lol once worked at a small agency where i was basically PMing, AMing, doing video production (cutting video and mixing audio), and being a designer (what i was hired for) all at once
