Has anyone else’s mental health increased significantly since WFH? In Jan I was looking for a therapist and determined I needed to go back on meds - but after WFH, my anxiety/stress/depression has almost completely disappeared

I think it has to do with where you get your energy from. For introverts, having the time at home/alone, the quiet, and the "shorter commute" are all extremely beneficial and relaxing.

For extraverts, losing access to in-person interaction increases loneliness, exhaustion, and depression. There are also studies about the weird feelings of being on zoom calls, where your body reacts in search of the physical but then you're left without a read of body language, creating a weird tiredness.

Hello: I've had cats and just took my 12 year old cat for his 6 month check up. We have been watching his thyroid levels which are a little elevated but this time his calcium is elevated. Everything else is normal and vet wants abdominal ultrasound to see for cancer. Has anyone had this? Left message for vet to discuss... obviously upset. Cat looked good on clinical exam...... thoughts or input please?

What is your thoughts on this?

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

I now have Carrot benefits. Maybe elective egg freezing the start of next year? After some research, it looks like the Carrot funds are available only after I meet my yearly health plan deductible. I’m currently on HDHP (with an HSA) that has a high deductible and max oop is in the mid-$3K. Since I’m relatively healthy, I’m not sure if this is the right plan for me or if an EPO or PPO makes more sense. Appreciate any insight - esp from folks who’ve gone through a similar situation. Thank you!

About 10 days ago I was exposed to someone who later tested positive for covid. I’m super careful normally. I got a rapid test 7 days after exposure and a PCR test 8 days after exposure and they both came back negative. Since about day 5 after exposure I’ve been SUPER tired though. I’ll drink a ton of coffee, way more than normal, and still feel exhausted. Then off and on I’ve been having stomach issues. Have any of you had this happen? I feel like I have to have it but the tests say no. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi IBM fishes

I will be joining IBM with a package of 14 LPA including pf and gratuity. How much can I expect in hand salary monthly ?

Not sure where this post belongs because I don’t think it’s an excel solution, but I want to be able to pull data from various direct datafeeds (and be able to pull in reports from say excel as well).

Once I get all the data in the same place I want to make sure all the data looks the same before I begin manipulating it (consolidating/mapping fields essentially)

What’s the right software to do this? Is it as simple as having direct feeds integrated with Access or is it something else entirely?

Hi,

I graduated last year and was working with my university until last month. I extended my STEM OPT with my university before July 5th (first year OPT expiry). I got a new opportunity right after submitting my application & I notified my change in employer (submitted updated I-20 & I-983).
Last Friday, I got another opportunity that is way better than the current one and I don't want to miss. My STEM OPT application is still under review. Would it be okay if I change my employer again? Thanks

I got my first flare up of this autoimmune condition 5 days after my first Moderna dose and it’s only gotten worse since (I have been doing treatment). I was doing some research online how covid patients in hospitals got the condition so I wasn’t sure if it would be related to the 2 doses of Moderna vaccine. Just thought I would ask if it happened to anyone else.

Maybe it was just a coincidence too
