Has anyone else's product kind of been at a stand still with growth and changes? I'm at a startup right now and all of our metrics are declining, our MAUs are declining...our product is only 4 years old and has hardly changed in those 4 years. Our roadmap is very much leadership driven..not product driven. Product has been wanting to do so many things but leadership forces us to tackle 'low hanging fruit' with no ROI. I'm patiently waiting for them to realize they need to let product do product

Is it normal for PPMD to jump around? I feel like I’ve met a few that have spent time as PPMD at different firms or have just recently joined EY from another Big 4/competitor.

Thinking about moving to a big city with the following preferences. I am thinking about Dallas, philly, or Chicago. What’s your experience living in those cities? Is there any other city I am missing?

2. Great food scene and things to do as a young professional
3. Relative LCOL can’t afford housing in NY, SoCal, etc.

How is work life balance in HF/PE tax in private?

Hi fishes, I completed 1 year at Capgemini(fresher). Worked on one project for 5 months without billable from client. Now they released me from that project and soon i will get another project at my preferable location. My concern is from the joining date to till date (1 year passed) I didn't get any billing as I worked only 5 months on a project, so is it like my 2 yrs bond aggreement is not started? I heard from someone that once you get billable then only your 2 year bond starts. Pls tell me.

Hey all, I'm a Product Manager 9 months into a Big4 consulting manager role. I've come to the conclusion that although I can succeed in consulting, my preference is to own the roadmap and have a larger influence on the 'what' for a product instead of offering recommendations and executing on another PMs backlog. I've now accepted an offer as PM at a well SaaS product company, where I will have a more hands on role, shaping the product and delivering valuable outcomes. Thoughts welcome! :)

I am onstantly getting through the Hiring Manager rounds for the companies I am interviewing for but after the peer rounds with PM/Senior PMs I am getting rejected. Ine of the companies was Walmart which had 2 back to back interviews with a Group and Senior PM and I got a reject. Can the fellow PMs give me some guidance as to what I maybe missing.

How long does it usually take folks to feel comfortable/confident in a new PM role? I feel like I’ve been really hard on myself and don’t feel like I’m performing where I should be but during a performance check in I received mostly positive feedback from my peers and manager.

I am 2 years into product as my first job. I have a new manager (former lawyer!?) who micromanages everything I do - including stylistic changes to my user stories. I tried having an open conversation with him and now he starts every call with “I am not telling you what and how to do but do x“. Any advice please?
