How does value engineering compare to being a sales engineer? Have an opportunity to make the switch (still relatively early in my career) , but unclear how comp differs down the line.
I got promoted on 1st September and I resigned on 5th September in Accenture. My Workday profile has been updated but Allsec still not updated. Will I get my updated salary or the old one?
I just got offered in JPMC Mumbai.
Just wanted to ask if we have to open a salary account in any specific account or any bank account will do?
Is it expected that people who exit from MBB/Deloitte at post mba levels (PL/EM/M) take paycuts when going to industry? (non FAANG, PE). I'm In process at multiple internal consulting/strategy groups who say the paycut is part of the trade-off for less hours/no travel.
But as a female🐠, I can't discern whether this is just a negotiation tactic. Mentors have told me never take less pay.
For reference, this is at a comparable industry equivalent level (not clear up/down)
Got offer for 150k with 7.5k bonus. I like the company and the location but it's a pay cut and no relo. Interviews with EY and Accenture this week, Slalom next week. Company wants an answer by 9/11.
I got passed on an industry position that I was really excited about. Had multiple interviews with the company and was 1 of 2 people left and they went with the other person. Had a great WLB and over a 40% pay increase. Feeling very discouraged and kinda like I just got dumped. Find it difficult to believe that there will be many other opportunities like this. Any advice to stay encouraged?
Covid life is taking a toll on my creative energy. I know my work and the creative ideas I’m seeing aren’t as good as they used to be, and settling for good enough just feels sad for all of us. Any tips for how to push yourself to be better when you’ve lost the will to care? Any questions you ask yourself, people you seek out for feedback, or ways to raise your own bar higher?

I’ve been back from Mat Lave for 6 months and recently sat down to meet with my new Supervisor to discuss future opportunities for advancement and express that I’m hoping to have a salary review soon.
He told me he agreed I was undervalued when reviewing my comp and mentioned a few times now that my maternity leave was a factor in me being underpaid - what do I do I feel heartbroken and discouraged? I feel so stuck - I love my work but how can I feel ok every day knowing this?
Is 130k salary unrealistic for a consultant level working in workday with 1 yoe? Keep in mind I have 5 yoe in consulting with 4 of them being in a different hr technology.

How do you best navigate holds? Example, if you have a first hold already with studio A, but studio B wants to book you, but studio A wont give a direct answer that they'll release you.
Anyone else think that court deadlines are the reason for a lot of stress? A 14 day deadline means basically 7 days to get something drafted and to a client. Wonder if courts should consider this and the stress effect it has on litigants and their counsel.
What shaving razors do y'all recommend for facial shaving alone?
I have used mach3 and other generic razor but anything better that gives you a nice smooth shave?
I’m concerned I may be underpaid and undervalued.
I am an AVP Associate Client Manager at Marsh in Energy. 3 years experience in energy- total of 10 years experience in the insurance industry formerly HNW personal. I know it’s hard to gauge but what a fair salary, glass door has 80 to 100k could that really be right?? I feel like a fool. I’ve gotten raises by fighting for them including recent promotion to AVP.
Can anyone share rough benchmarks for 3-second video view rates on FB ads? Also interested in share rate (shares/impressions). It’s rough to work with a few small clients and not have the big picture!
There is a girl in my company from Greece that I have a big crush on but I'm senior to her and definitely not in her league. Any tips on whether it can work out? Do I have any chances?
I’ve been leading a crappy lifestyle, and now I got diagnosed with a fatty liver disease (not related to alcohol). I need to lose weight and increase my metabolism. Did anybody deal with it? What resources were helpful? I am especially interested in meal prep and exercise routines.
I am fairly new to sales (3 years), and I just closed a deal that will pay out twice what I made all of last year ($75k vs $150k). My question is: nobody here can talk to their friends or family about this kind of stuff, right? Do you all disclose to people that you are pulling in $250-$300k in a year? I'm only 25 so I don't want my friends to make me buy all their drinks 😅
I got a new offer but in terms & conditions they have written - The company at any point have the rights to review and restructure its compensation package.
My concern is this is common in every organisation offer letter.
Please clear my doubt.
Anyone else jump to conclusions about a person’s competence simply by the number of merged cells in their workbooks?
Why is it so hard for post-mba level consultant to exit to private equity? What’s the major difference in skillset that a consultant can’t learn
Ok this is a weird question.
I have a puppy of 5 months old, he had diarrhoea since 3 days. I went to the vet and they gave him metronidazole, an antibiotic. He just had his first pill.
But: I have to go to a dinner for an hour or 3 this evening. I’m afraid to put him in his crate while he’s having diarrhoea.
Can I do that? Does the antibiotic work fast? Or should I let him out of his crate so he can go to the puppy pad if needed. I never let him out of his crate while home alone.

I plan to lateral to another firm in the same area of law (insurance defense, south FL). The pay at this new firm is better with prospects of becoming partner, or at least growing with the firm. My current firm is a mess. I know they will be an even bigger mess when I leave, but I just can’t take it anymore. The thing is—my boss is wonderful. I’ve come to care about the firm and him so dearly. It’s other things at the firm that are making me want to leave. How do I break it to him? (Cont’d..)

Firm is jumping up first year starting salary by $30k. As a first year partner I am making about $80k more than a first year at the old starting salary- at the new starting salary $50k more. Should I be expecting a comparable raise as well? What range seems fair? Want to make sure everyone else is not getting screwed.
I just had an interview with 5 different attorneys (4 partners, 1 associate). Should I send a thank you email to all of them (separate emails of course)? Or is that not really appropriate? If I should one, should it be today or wait until tomorrow? Not sure what the proper etiquette is.

Is it a wise career decision to go from a national firm to a local but strong firm? Practiced with the national firm for a year and a half. The firms are the same type of law, but the smaller firm has less billable requirements and is offering higher salary/better bonus structure as well as more independence such as ability to completely run own case load.
