Who allows you to actually take PTO? Or are you trying to save it up to get that “bonus” when you quit?
D1, I get to take my PTO, just have to schedule 9 months out usually. I also don’t work at any of the firms that are popular on here, I do implementations... maybe that’s what I need to be worried about getting laughed out of the room for 😂
I think as long as you ask respectfully and give a reasonable compromise, the ask should be fine. Some companies may not allow it since pto systems may be pretty rigid, but since it's a less known firm, I think it's worth a shot. I don't think any reasonable manager/director would laugh at that ask.
I asked something similar for a job offer before (increased pto starting out), they said no, but nothing bad came from the ask.
I'm guessing you dont have a utilization target OP? If not- then go for it. If you're a good enough negotiator and valuable enough of an asset, EVERYTHING in a contract is on the table.
