Yes. Rip them to shreds. I don’t tolerate that shit
Sent a not so nice email twice now.
For sure. We reached out to the vendor explaining our concerns and how we need to collaborate as it will work best for both parties. The client has their separate relationship with the vendor but they now keep us in the loop of what’s happening. We don’t tolerate the, editing our campaigns though. That’s a big no no.
This person is also sending clients performance recaps and campaign recommendations. It’s like she forgets we’re the agency, not her.
who signed the contract?
@C1: you talk like a true consultant. There’s no confusion, the IO was signed by the agency. Vendor is probably going direct to either ensure they’ll be in the next plan or to cut agency and get more revenue.
Yes, it happens more frequently now than ever. To the point that the client is dealing directly with them. I guess they are cutting the middle man, I mean, the agency.
I was intro’d to my current biggest client by their agency. Client wanted to work direct with vendor (me) and manage the relationship themselves. Part of the “internal agency” mentality.
Spill, which one?
LinkedIn rep.
The client shouldn’t be speaking directly with the vendor. You should be the only one working with the vendor making edits and pulling through client feedback.
Yup, agreed. Have to have a conversation with vendor now.
It happened to us and we blacklisted them. If you signed the IO, the vendor should respect boundaries or at the bare minimum cc you.
