Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?
I’m entry level (2020 grad). Used to work at an awesome startup before my current job in SaaS. I’ve been ramping at this co. though so I haven’t even gotten the experience yet I want on my resume. But I talked with the startup co-founder about rejoining. I was thinking part time to start, but he says there’s a high chance of a full time job for me there. Startup is 100% remote. My job at current company is client meetings and deliverables. How difficult would it be to work both at once?
BCG folks, seen some folks on linkedin with titles like "finance manager" and "senior finance manager". Are these internal roles? My understanding is project lead is your M role.
New to due diligence and not sure the timeline of projects. Tips to stay organized of the project and timeline, and how to update those leading the deal? Just keep track of new info and provide as necessary?
Got an offer to start 8/31. If I put in my 30 days now, what’s the likelihood that I don’t get my PBB next week? For context I’m an SM leading an ongoing integration w/ lean team and supporting a second project as an SMR. Pros: - don’t need to wait until 8/30 to leave - team figures out how to backfill - I can start transitioning internal initiatives before our annual plans are due Cons: - no PBB (I’m expecting 30%). - A week less of pay I’d otherwise take off
My current CTC is 25 L , bellow is the package I got of 37L , they have calculated hr on bench pay , does any one has any clear idea about project pay , is this good idea to join epam anywhere , I heard that epam systems also provide remote work , let me know all of your thoughts
I’m new to a project and working with one other guy who is also new. I’m not sure if it’s the competitiveness in me, but I’ve noticed that he tends to speak for me in meetings and frames things as if they’re his idea. Yesterday, I told him that I’m going to help with issue 1 and we should tag team on it. I told him who to reach out to and what to do. This morning on our team daily sync he told everyone what we plan to do, and that we’re helping with issue 1/tag teaming. I worry that this looks..
Can anyone shed some like on the National Tax department team and how one can join it? It seems like the NTD professionals in my office have it so well No busy season because it’s mostly project based
God help me - the kids are driving me crazy with non stop fights and I have a big client update this afternoon 😳
Started on a new project and a client contact always comes over and talks - it happens at least 4-5 times a day and I ve run out of reasons just 3 days into the project. How to deal with this?
Human Capital Consultant up for promotion. Call with an Accenture recruiter tomorrow. On a digital enablement project with no SM and supervising others. How do I position? And at what level?

About to start a long-term project literally 1 mile from home. Not sure how I feel about that. I liked keeping work and personal life separate....
Tips on client interaction /etiquette on set?
Advice on dealing with clients who are super lazy / really rely on you to do everything? Our team delivered everything, but they didn’t know how to apply a filter on excel so asked us to add a filter / other silly asks If it happens a couple times fine, but I’m quickly finding out this client is just pushing all their day to day work to us...I’m looking for guidance on how folks approach / engage these types of clients
Just went client side and oh boy the drama is minimal and I’m feeling hella grateful. Also every other person does NOT edit my copy. Whaaattt?
Does lateraling to MBB from another firm (ex. T2 / Big 4 / Boutique) impact project opportunities and your “sense of worth” to clients compared direct hires? Or generally no impact, because you went through the same rigorous process + are generally equally as capable.

130k with 7 YOE (change management/project management), per FB post, I feel like I’m extremely underpaid. Will similar position in MBB or FAANG pay a lot more (assuming same non technical role)
Been reading articles on how to improve your look on Zoom calls and some say using virtual backgrounds lower your executive presence. Do you agree? And let’s assume you’re not using an Office Space background.

(First ever post) I originally I joined this app to learn from others in consulting on a variety of topics (gender perspectives, comp, tips/ recommendations). Ever since downloading, I see more hatred and people making judgements on others with little context. Consultants are supposed to problem solvers but instead of people sharing perspectives I feel I’m back on Twitter reading threads that only create hate. Anyone else feel that way?
L1A visa question: I'm working at MBB and moved to Canada due to Visa issues. Now, my Immigration team is asking me to work on ONLY Canadian client projects so that I'm eligible for L1. Are you aware of any such eligibility criteria for L1A? I know so many people from Big 4 who go to India offices and continue to work on US clients, and then get L1 visa.
Charted accountant in the UK here. I’ve applied to a finance analyst role- any tips or advice on what to expect in the interview and role? Thanks in advance

Any advice on the Wharton HCM interview? Worried that I’m not super knowledgeable on big industry trends because I work in a very specific area of health care.
Are hierarchical levels in tax at the big 4 the same? I.e. a manager at pwc = manager at kpmg = manager at Deloitte = manager at ey?
I wasn't hoping welfare handouts from these 4 red states. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/04/4-states-pay-unemployment-benefits-to-fired-unvaccinated-workers.html
