Has anyone ever exited to FAANG/Big Tech after just a couple years of experience? Just curious if it's possible to do so or if that's why everyone tried for an MBA or MBB first because they don't accept anyone without that caliber of experience.

Cloud program management by a mile. Easiest way to break in as cloud is the biggest push at google for now.

You actually are more likely to be hired via big 4/acn for the tech related product roles at FAANG. That’s the main feeder, they love big 4 implementers. They want well rounded technical people with PM skills. Due to the demand for those types of data, application, tech roles, you’re actually better positioned to get into FAANG from big 4 than at MBB going for fewer strategy roles with fiercer completion for those roles. You should also pick up sql and python.

Thanks for the advice! Been looking into maybe doing some python classes or something this year to get a basic competency so will definitely consider that more heavily if it's a good skill to have

Hi guys! I could use some help here, feeling a little discouraged. I started working for EY through a contractor and im hoping to move to EY to a different line that I could expand my current skillset. Although I don't hold a degree, I recently completed a certificate with Google in Project Management. I was hoping to move to something in Communications, EA or even Advisory but I haven't had any luck. and advice? Also looking into the EY Employee Referral scheme? or would that even be worth it?

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Need some advice. I was asked to apply for a senior digital marketing specialist role (the lowest title I’ve applied for, looking mid-senior level). I applied and they offered me the position, but are telling me I need to start out at the regular specialist level. To me, if I interviewed for the senior title, and I can clearly do the qualifications needed since you offered me the role, I should have that title. Thoughts? Supposedly the reg. specialist role is senior in their org. structure.
