Has anyone ever failed a background check/employment verification? If so, why? (If you don’t mind sharing) I’m waiting to hear back from a company and I’m nervous because it’s taking some time. One of my employer dates was off because I was trying to fit it on my resume, but I submitted W2s because I did actually work there.

I’ve been with my current company for 3 years. In this time I have only received one raise and triple the responsibilities. I am currently the fleet/safety manager for a fleet of 8 trucks. Also, I am required to do all secretary work, manage the office, dispatch, keep the books, and manage payroll for 12 employees for 34,000 annually. With the workload I currently have I’m not sure what to approach my boss with as a fair salary for the task i complete daily.
