Should I put my pronouns on my resume?
I left a mid-tier firm to come to EY. Work the same amount of hours (or less) but with better resources on more interesting work. Much less compliance and more planning. I have also found my team here to be more accessible (more contact, mentorship etc. with Partners and other executives) and frankly more friendly / personable. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. As with anywhere much of the experience will be team specific, but I do think the marketing of the mid-tiers being less work better WLB or closer teams is mostly smoke and mirrors. Free to DM me if you have specific questions or if you would like to hear about EY. Obviously we are always hiring.
Same! I spent time at BDO and recently joined Deloitte and agree with this completely.

Definitely do it. Everyone I know who works/worked at those #5-8ish firms worked as much as B4 without the technology, prestige, clients, and pay
My perk is not being treated like poo.
I left a top 15 firm for B4 and thought it was a great move for the same reasons EY1 said
I actually work less at Deloitte than I did at my old mid tier
Thanks for sharing. I’m in Tax but that is good insight to have too.
Rising Star
I left a top 25 (in the 15-25 range so pretty small) for KPMG. Personally I've found the flexibility, benefits, and culture to be much better at big 4.

I’ve never worked at mid tier but I’m very happy with my position at PwC. I’d be happy to refer you!
Any insight into CMAS at pwc? Would like to learn more about the practice.
I’ve enjoyed my time at GT !
So a mid-tier?
I left a top 20 firm for pwc, left pwc and actually going back from small local. The hours are ver comparable to mid tier but the benefits/name recognition/training/resources are all much better. You have much more client interaction and potential for partner track at mid tier, just depends what your future goals are.
I am currently looking into making the transit. Its not that easy where I am located due to localization rules. However, I am still trying everyday cause even my own current managers, & senior managers are asking me to apply to B4.
Also considering the same move! Just a bit nervous for the learning curve but I think it'll be worth it for the resume.
