If you have sun spots or dark spots, IPL is awesome!!! Results in a more even skin tone. Highly recommend.
I’ve had IPL, Microneedling and pulsed dye laser (I have some redness in my skin). In my opinion IPL is tricky. I’ve had three treatments and I can say I’m surprised at how much pigment I still have left, I would recommend going to a derm and not a medspa as a derm has more lasers at their disposable. The laser your looking for really depends on what your skin concern is. If it’s sun damage, go IPL, but if it’s overall tightness or wrinkles I think clear / brilliant is better.

Piggy-backing on this post to ask, my concerns are general texture — kind of rough/bumpy, I’m already using a retinol and acids—, and visible pores, and redness (planning to get my blood vessels zapped. Should I do micro needling or laser, and which laser? Looks like CO2 is best but it’s expensive. Anything comparable?
Also agree on microneedling for texture. But if you want to do anything for redness, the pulsed dye laser aka vbeam is the best. Some places will try to talk you into IPL for this but it’s not the best tool and will not give you the same results.
