Has anyone ever had the Lyft or Uber they order be vastly different than the estimate the app gives you when you order one? I booked one this morning at like 4am and the app said it would be $18 and it came out to $58 when the ride was finished... For the basic service

I’ve had that happen with Uber. If you complain on the app they reverse it to the original amount. It’s been a few years since it’s happened to me though.

I’d be careful going to your cc company. Sure they can decline the charge but it’s possible then Lyft/Uber whichever will ban your card from being used since you’re disputing their charges. I disputed a payment made through Google Pay once and they locked up my entire account for 2 years, I couldn’t use it to send money, rent movies, buy apps, etc. and I couldn’t even add a different card to use because my account was locked.

If Lyft/Uber customer support won’t adjust the charge on their end you’re better off just letting it go than disputing it, in my experience

like

No!! I’d definitely ask

I don’t use Lyft but on Uber if you continue complaining long enough they’ll reverse the charge

How many miles did you go?

Thinking of moving to Dallas... any recommendations on recruiters you’ve worked with? - also, would love to know the top 10 largest agencies in Dallas. So I can search their websites. Appreciate the help y’all.

Would you prefer to use a recruiting agent (very engaged as they are driven by commission) or an internet employee (someone I know but not so close nor have much time/incentive to advocate or follow up for me) as the referral source? I kind of like the recruiting agent better since they seem on top of things. What are the biggest pros and cons of each in your opinion?

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

Pros to Merrill: Bump in compensation, additional tools and services w banking, ability to take over assets.

I started at a new firm this year in January. I had a billable goal that was given to me mid year of around 1750 house for the year. I am nowhere near that and definitely will not meet the goal. I had so many non billable hours I was forced to take when I first came in. I worked my ass off in busy season. At my previous firm I never fell short of hours as it was B4. This firm is mid sized and more focused on WLB. My question is how bad do you think this will affect my comp??
