EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

I believe some firms have a policy of seizing the child and raising them inside the firm
That’s...AWFUL? I hope not?
Have not heard of it, but it is a common policy If I am not mistaken
Yes, I've heard of it. It would be in the policy details.
Spelled out in the paperwork when I took my leave. Had to return for X amount of days.
Honestly I was just curious. I’ve seen a couple of people leave during maternity leave. But this was in industry and resumes were a dime a dozen at the time.
Yep, believe that’s the case at KPMG as well. It’s in the HR policy.
It’s policy but don’t know if it’s actually enforced or not
Talent here...it’s a policy and enforced
Yep it is in the policy.
Deloitte’s policy is that you have to return to work for at least six full business weeks to avoid repaying. Personally I think that’s reasonable, and if you were going to stay home after you had the kid but wanted the money, six weeks isn’t that long to endure. You can even ask for a slower transition back to full time / travel work schedules.
I’m hearing rumors that you have to stick around for full year after returning. Going to talk to HR tomorrow to make sure.
Is the an egregious amount of time or is that just me?
I’ve done it, it’s six weeks at least at Deloitte. There is a one year rule about only being able to take family leave once a year, but the pay clawback, no.
Can’t speak for any other firm.
