Has anyone ever switched from core tax senior to tax team lead or similar position in a Service Delivery Center? Pros? Cons?

How do some realtors get inside info on houses that aren’t on the market? Is this simply by word of mouth and personal networks? My neighborhood had a secret sale which never showed up on Redfin or Zillow. Secret open house and everything. It was pretty crowded. Do realtors have subscriptions to this sort of info or something? (I’m not a realtor, I have no idea how this stuff works)

My husband and I live in DC with our 1.5 yr old & will be moving to MD later this year. We really really want my parents to move up to MD from NC asap so they can be with their grandchild more.
