Go-to introductory line for your first email to a client after you’ve been assigned the matter by a partner? I don’t want to waste time on unnecessary introductions but it also seems weird to start out with a cold “hi x, please see the attached draft letter for your review.” Maybe it’s the pandemic, maybe it’s the profession, but I feel like I don’t know how to interact with people anymore. I really hate my job. Only because it's really difficult and I have low self esteem. My confidence has gotten lower after my meeting with my mentor. He was helping me on a project and a few days later I asked why we are doing it a certain way. He was pissed and said I should ask my questions early on instead of asking two days later. I'm taking really long on this project that shouldn't take this long. I can't stop crying and feel really stupid and slow. I've been in my new career for 8 months.

I’m a sponsored MBA student with option to come back to my firm (Tier 2) at Manager/Project Leader level, but I’ve also received full time offer for MBB at post-MBA level (lower TC by >50K plus need to cover 80K USD for MBA). Question with regards to treatment of Crypto loss: client purchased large amount of alt coins during 2021 and was intended to sell them shortly after the purchase. I just accepted an offer at another big4 and I feel so blessed to be making $130k in LOCL as a 23 year old with less than 1.25 YOE. And I find it funny that I'm gonna be "senior" consultant/associate at my age and YOE. I don't know jack shit, and will completely understand if my clients/senior peers don't give me any respect at all. They’re building something truly great though and happy to be a part of it. A couple friends there were actually about to refer me so they gave me great reviews. After talking with recruiting I'm then told they 1) don't have openings anymore and 2) I seem to lack self-motivation because I said I wasn't learning anything new in my roles?? This just seems weird and kind of rude?
