Has anyone ever left for industry, finished their CPA, and come back? I don't necessarily plan on coming back but it would be nice to have the option.

Yes. When I was at KPMG there was a senior that had been there a few years, so he was past the point of being able to have them pay for CPA prep or get the bonus. He left to go work at BoA (got a VP title, because everyone there is a VP lol). I believe BoA provided CPA prep and/or bonus for passing. He later came back to KPMG as a Senior Manager.

Hello Guys,

I got an offer with Deloitte India. It says my designation is Manager and my career level is Manager. And the business/ service line is consulting.

I have another offer with EPAM which is only 2 lpa less then Deloitte India.

Am not sure how the WLB here in Deloitte and not sure about my work location. I got the base location as Chennai Tnagar which is very far for me since i reside at Siruseri.

Help me to pick the better one. How about the yearly hike in Deloitte India ?

I have an offer doing pretty much my same job at a smaller firm. It’s only a 6% base raise but they are giving me a bonus each year to make up for the amount my salary falls short of the salary number I gave them that it would take for me to leave. Would you take the offer?

Got offered to go to RSM from a big four with a 40% raise and a promotion. I should make manager this round if I stay so promotion isn’t that big of a deal. Should I take it? I’ll have smaller clients, but think I’ll really shine there too. Less work, more pay... I could always go back to my current firm. Thoughts?

I’m confused about the proposed tax changes.

If I make for example less than $400k in wages but I sell $1.1 million in LTCG. Does that mean I follow the current LTCG rules or does it bring me up to the 40%?
