Always take the money. Do it tactfully, thank the OG spot, but tell them it’s best for you/your fam/etc. to pursue the better opportunities. Agencies will drop you in a heartbeat if they lose the account you’re working on, so you have to look out for yourself.

Truth is a good place to start. Talk to your manager/CD or whomever brought you in. Let them know it’s nothing to do with them, but the opportunity is too good to pass up. Not saying they won’t be disappointed at first, but let them know how much you appreciate the work you did with them and it’ll smooth out in the end.

While there are pockets of excellence & collegial respect at D - overall, D culture is toxic, particularly for people of color, Black people, & non-binary people. So, if you fall in any one of those groups, & you are told/wondering if you are being “sensitive” or “overreacting” to what you’re seeing,hearing, & sensing-I can assure you that you aren’t. Get what you can from the firm (experiences/certs) & pivot to something better.

Are there common/typical months that leases renew in SF? I’m moving to SF sometime in the June, July, August range, and just trying to get a feel for how it works. I’ve never signed a lease before (I’m 22) but my understanding is that there’s generally some months that have more leases renewing than others. Any other tips/advice appreciated too. Thanks!
