Has anyone ever utilized their company’s sabbatical program?

Thinking about starting to take annual (or more likely, every other year) sabbaticals once I’ve reached a level I’m happy with in the company (not racing for more promotions)

If you’d never, ever take a sabbatical, would appreciate that insight too.

I know there are variations of this thread, but what is Alvarez & Marsal target comp for a Manager in CPI if you hit say ~90% utilization? Is that 140k base + 50% bonus? Or higher?

I wish admin utilized Tier 1 supports with teachers. Smiles, appreciations and acknowledging ones efforts would do a great deal to boost morale and climate. I just don’t understand what that is so hard to do.

What is the minimum utilization criteria followed at SDC?

There are people from my team with utilization in range of 30% to 50% and got promoted to manager 1 and sa2 respectively.

I have almost 75% utilization, so wondering why work so much. Thinking of aiming for 55% utilization this time.

Have you ever not hit your utilization or BD hours for the year? If so, why and what happened?

Are others seeing their work slow down? It’s been a pretty dramatic halt for me. I thought maybe it was a me problem, but others in my group admitted they are also slow. I’ve been consistently 110-120% utilized, but I’ve only billed 22 hours this month. I’m in fund formation.

My project goes live Nov 9th but I have accepted a new job. When do I put my two weeks in? I have been with this client for > 1.5 years. My gut says give notice Oct 15th but stay through Go Live week. I don’t want to jeopardize my utilization at my new firm. New firm supports pushing start date but obviously prefers an earlier start date.

I’m 24 years old, making 120k a year. I have about 65k saved in my. 401k, 7k in my ESPP, and 15k in my personal brokerage, no debt. I keep very little in my checking, only enough to pay bills, rent and enjoy a little. What more can I be doing to maximize my investments and extra cash. I just got a salary increase (120k) hoping to start saving more per paycheck! Any positive advice would be great. Big believer in compounding.

Looking at refinancing my home and I’m trying to figure out how to best include additional equity in the equation since I’d go to a shorter term, but effectively keep the same payment ($50 more per month). If I roll all of the closing costs into the loan, I show myself coming out ahead immediately due to gaining nearly $500 in additional equity.

Am I missing something in how I should treat that equity? It seems too good to be true to be ahead Day 1.

Hey everyone any good low cost dividend ETFs or good stocks that pay consistent dividends out there? So far I’ve bought SCHD and then I bought Blackstone (BX) as a dividend paying stock.
