Zoom WFH secrets: No one has figured out yet the big black box thing in the background of my home office is where hubby dries and trims his pot plants.
Audit that I should've rolled off end of May is still needing work from me because client is very slow during WFH, and now I have 3 projects at once 😵
Have an offer on the table at a startup that’s $35K more than current big 4 salary for a Senior Manager role. Benefits package is very comparable (401k match, healthcare costs, fringe stipends for WFH). Startup has been around for 5+ years and has secured a solid, 9 figures of investor dollars. Is it worth the move and having to leave my extremely secure “network” and role at a Big 4?
I'm so upset my flight was on time and I got to my client site in the south. Could have been an epic WFH snow day in NYC 😔❄💔
Since we’ve all been working from home for months now, what’s the best office chair out that y’all are using for our long work from home hours? Looking to invest in a better one than my ~$150 one from Amazon.
Does anyone know of any website that lets you filter in-house positions by those who allow remote work? I’m assuming this does not exist but wanted to see if any of y’all have any thoughts.
If you’re ever feeling down about WFH (or anything else in your life), feel free to chat with me! Happy to talk and I think this type of dialogue should be encouraged
Husband works at nonprofit as a high level individual contributor. Started in August, fully remote. We are on vacation in the Caribbean this week, and I want to stay another week or two. Are the optics of my husband working from the Caribbean problematic?
I’ve been ending my work days at 12 AM (I wfh), but bright side is that I don’t work weekends. Basically, when do the long nights end? Does it get easier? I’m a first year
Do you think wfh makes consulting better or worse? I think it’s nice without the fatigue from traveling but the lost of efficiency and the number of calls I need to be on every day (sometimes 8+ hrs) makes me crazy.
Any companies offering work from anywhere or permanent WFH for SAP domain? Kindly comment..TIA
The year is 2023 and the ad agency you started has made the list of top creative agencies. Your company allows for remote work but the agency also has a physical location as the main office. What city would you have your office located in and why?
Hi Fishes, I had claimed WFH reimbursement on DTE and the status of the claim says Processed. How long does it usually take to get credited? Thanks.
For those of you who spent a long time in big law (at least 10 years but more along the lines of 15+), when did you know it was time to do something else (maybe in the law, maybe not)? I don’t know if it’s wfh or just the work now, but I’m finding myself getting amazingly frustrated at things that barely bothered me before. I had an argument with opposing counsel last week and was seeing red for hours after that, and little things seem to bother me much much more than they would have before
Recommendations for a wfh office chair? Preferably on the lower end of the range with good height.
Any other PMs finding it way harder than you thought when EVERYBODY is working remote? Woof, what used to be a drive by chat if I didn’t look busy or wasn’t in a mtg is now a text/chat/email
I’m a pretty anxious person and I’ve realized that a remote work environment only makes me more so - not being able to read people’s tone well, email/ping responses being more delayed than they would be in a conversation, the awkwardness of virtual meetings, etc. I’m in therapy and will discuss this there but would love to hear some tips about how people manage work anxiety specifically in a remote consulting environment.
Interested in learning more about consulting at Capgemini and Slalom. For those at either, what are best attributes? Most frustrating? Travel vs local assignments? (I prefer travel.)
Wow my mental health went from feeling good from break back to the exact same horrible as before in one day cool cool cool. I must really hate this job
New to options trading, been following this bowl a while and trying to get educated with courses on options alpha and TD Ameritrade. How many of yall are able to make consistent extra income from options trading? I’m not expecting BC wins but was hoping after some practice for a little side income to make the no raise year a little less painful. Just wondering if it’s more of a gamble then anything except for the exceptional few...
How’s EYP wlb for 3 yoe? Is it as bad as MBB

As a general rule, how bad is it to test out the waters by applying to a job, getting the offer, and then rejecting it -“now’s not the right time” - while staying at your current company? Blacklisted?
When in the interview process do you ask the team the expected work hours? Also, how would you ask it?
I have my COVID vaccine appointment this upcoming Wednesday. I am able to chose one of the three. Thoughts/recs?
Good morning all! Anyone have any experience with Delta Partners? The consulting firm specializing in TMT. Would you recommend it?
Anyone have leads on a firm hiring fully remote, entry level corporate attorneys? I am a 4th year lit associate, but would be willing to start from the bottom to change practice areas and be remote, especially if the firm pays well.
Are there “on-cycle” recruiting pipelines for recruiting from post-MBA roles? Or is it all ad-hoc recruiting?

My school has seen combinations of f2f, hybrid, and remote teaching/learning throughout the first half of the school year. After the MLK holiday, our district is returning to traditional f2f teaching 100%. I have 4 band classes (1 beginning, 2 intermediate, & 1 advanced), and as far as content pacing is concerned, we’re 1 9-week grading period behind. Is it a far fetched goal to get my students where they need to be by the end of the school year? How would you handle a situation like this?
Looking to join TAS/M&A advisory at big 4 from middle market in the Chicago area as a senior. Can someone refer me?
