Can’t speak for traveling to France, but I know flying back to US you’ll need a negative PCR or viral antigen test within 3 days before departure
I’m gonna say take one just in case

Just got back from a few countries in Europe last week. Honestly the rules change everyday and every country is different (even within the EU), I’d get a rapid test the day before you travel just in case.
Yeah I second this. I’m currently abroad in Europe and fly home to the US in 2 days and tests are still required regardless of vaccination status

You won’t need a Covid test to get into France, but you will need one to get into the US. They have test sites on every street corner practically, so don’t worry too much about how you can take it.
In France now. No negative test needed to get into France but you need proof of vaccine.
You need to apply for the electronic French health pass to get into most indoor things. Or you can take a rapid test every 72 hours.
Then you need a negative test within 72 hours to return to the US.
Merci!!!
Recently went to Portugal and needed to provide a negative test from a clinic to go. Coming back all I needed was a self test with app capabilities (I did Ellume, which was fine. For Binax my friend needed one that specifically noted being one that someone can watch you take it [irritating that they’re so strict about this, it’s the same exact test])
Follow up, can I take a rapid self-test and just show a pic of that as proof at the airport? Thinking of grabbing one from CVS and just taking it with me on my trip, and then doing the test just prior to returning to US.

I worry for your Googling ability. Here is the French government website with the exact requirements, in English. I wouldn’t look anywhere else.
