Has anyone found an optimal balance / tips & tricks consuming caffeine with Vyvanse 20/30mg?

I find coffee hard to give up but combining with Vyvanse almost over stimulates me even with small 20mg dosage.

I started drinking decaf (you can even get that as beans now and quite decent ones) - so I don’t have to miss out on the taste but don’t get the anxiety

A few things for me, while taking that

1. I always liked lighter cofee, maybe you know this but it has more cafine typically (I had no idea) , I drink medium or diluted medium blend seemed to help a little

2. Matcha tea- for some reason it has the caffeine but also theanine or whatever it’s called and has a calming effect. So I have 1/2 teaspoon of matcha in my coffee in morning and 1 in afternoon and am good and keeps the cofee goodness and the lil kick but is calming, prolly cause of the tea

I wish. I gave up coffee for good two years ago because I just couldn't find a way to make it work. To this day I miss it so much, decaf is good, but it isn't quite the same to me. I was constantly overstimulated and irritable on top of it.

I know what you mean re decaf. I still buy decaf coffee because I love the taste but it feels like drinking a 0% alcohol beer 😂

I try to drink it at least an hour before my morning dose of stimulants or after lunch. If I take it too close to when I take my meds it will make me anxious. If I passed the window but still want coffee, I’ll have decaf or if I need proper caffeine I’ll have green tea or some kombucha.

I am still titrating at the moment so potentially to do with that?

I wasn't even able to drink coffee before I started taking it because I got too jittery, but I do enjoy decaf every now and then when I want the taste of coffee. I'm sure switching to decaf would help and you wouldn't have to give it up! :)

Lower the dose of Vyvanse? Or try switching to green tea perhaps?

I've since resorted to drinking tea. I've taken a liking to Rooibos and Hibiscus tea. If it isn't you cup of tea (ba dum tss) switch to decaf instead.

My pharmacy informed me that the insurance will not cover without authorization from the psych. My psych was wary about this & instead suggested Ritalin during my session. He mentioned that insurance companies want us to first try Ritalin because they are generally cheaper. How much truth is there to this? Thanks!

I just found this bowl and I am really glad it exists. After a few years of managing my ADHD, the past few month have been really hard and I am suffering from anxiety for the first time since college because of it. Even just the few posts I have read have made me feel a little bit better.

What has been your experience taking meds when you don’t get much sleep the night prior?

For me sometimes I wonder if it’s even worth it if I don’t get at least 6/7 hours. My meds don’t feel nearly as effective and I get agitated easily.

For people who take medication, what is your best/must have sleep aid supplement?

Have SO much technical documentation to read by the end of the week. Very dry, but detailed. Probably about 300 pages worth.

Even with meds, focus is tough. Content is just so dry, but I need to be able to understand it to an extent. Can anyone provide any tips/tricks??

How do you wake up and do the same thing over and over again every single day? I feel flawed that I can’t. I’m wondering if I should start taking my meds everyday rather than just the weekdays for work. Because the meds help me stay on track with chores and life but something about taking stimulants everyday…I feel so guilty…

I started taking Adderal, 2.5 g which is not really a lot. It didn’t really help with my focus, instead I felt restless and somehow nervous and really thirsty. And it made me clench my teeth. I do grind my teeth during nighttime but never experienced this in the daytime. Does it take time to get used to it?

Any Deloitte fishes out there that have analyzed the health benefit options for Vyvanse coverage? Both me and my daughter take Vyvanse and I have been burned by plan coverage/prescription benefits in the past. I think the PPO plans actually end up cheaper, all other variables removed.

Anybody know the proper channel to request a reasonable accommodation at Deloitte? Specifically, I am looking to switch my laptop to one with tablet functionality.
