This may not be the best forum for it but thought I’d give it a try!
Selling 2 tickets to SIX, the musical for Wed, 05/25 at 7:30 pm. Great seats in Row C of Dress Circle Center. Had to go out of town for work and can’t make the show.
Originally paid $116 each (including taxes and fees). Willing to sell both for $200 or the best offer.

Unless you are in deep with those at the round tables, it will most definitely have a negative impact on your ratings. However, the time spent with your family away from firm politics will likely be the best 16 weeks you ever had and outweigh the cons. It's all about about knowing what are the important things/experiences in life for you.
Man or woman? Like it or not there are double standards
Yes. I just took 16 wks off and my rating directly suffered. Had only 4s and 5s. Killed it this year yoo. Got a 3 although my ratings said above average. Basically, yes it will have a consequence. But those 4 months were way worth it. 100% pay for 4 months is a bonus in itself!! Congrats on the baby too!!
Yes I took full paternity leave. I do believe my ratings suffered as a result, but also maybe my performance lapsed a bit with a crying baby at home. There's a good chance you'll get assigned to new clients when you return. However, it was an amazing experience and absolutely worth it. I recommend that everyone take the full leave. The more men who take paternity leave the sooner we'll close the gender gap (IMO), so men who don't take the full leave are de facto sexist. And don't be afraid to correct coworkers who call it a vacation!
I agree with all the above. I am going to take full advantage of the leave and also possibly add some vacation on top of it. This is probably the best timing for bonding. I am glad that there are other folks who are taking advantage of the leave.
Do you have to pay back anything if you leave EY after the paternity leave?
I know number if msnagers who got promoted to SMs with no sales who were on maternal leave. In fact there is an EY partner who takes 6 months leaves and still runs the show. And another SM was in fkex schedule after her leave and got primotrd to partner
@ASM1 - I am a male based out of NYC.
@ey3- Preach!!
Take it. The firm is providing the benefit because they want you to have this experience. It is bonding time you can never replace. I also know several men who have taken it. From a review perspective, your rating is based on what you did that year. Being under a new system this year, I would talk to the talent team to understand what the 'rules' are. I say that because it isn't supposed to affect your rating. Also, evaluate the timing of your leave when you talk to talent because PBB can be prorated or not allowed based on length of time in the total cycles.
@EY1 - couldn't agree more. I really like the time off as that would give you a great opportunity to bond with the baby.
Yes and yes
@ EY 1 - what level are you? Just curious. Good job
ASM1- Senior 2
EY2 - I think if you leave within 30 days of returning (read it somewhere) but I've heard of people leaving directly after with no issues.
