Has anyone gone from tax to fp&a? What did you have to do to get an interview? Did you need to learn any new skill? What level should I aim for if I’m a B4 1st yr senior?

Currently a M7 PhD student. Former Big 4 consultant and veteran. Want to go back into consulting (preferably strategy). I have an Ivy Master’s. Would a MBA be silly if this is my goal?

Anyone moved to Canada from the UK? Would like to know how culture and pay compare (esp within the big 4) and whether it was overall worth it from your personal experience?

Hi! I have 6 years of experience in tax from b4 and am a CPA. I did depart from b4 but I’m willing to boomerang for the right opportunity. I want to pivot to sustainability, preferably consulting, to work on high impact projects with clients. Any recommendations on how to upskill to make this transition? How do I get a job as an HR Generalist in a tech company? I’ve been applying for full remote jobs for tech companies but all I get is daily rejections emails. My current and past HR experience are in aerospace, restaurant group and mobile retailer. Is there anything I can change on my resume that lets them know I can transition well into the tech industry as an HR professional?

Would you freelance or accept an offer at Meta? I've been very happily freelancing now for some months as a software and data engineer and architect. I get a lot of offers and I'm currently working for 950 € / day. I just got contacted by Meta saying they're interested in my profile so I'm contemplating whether to go through the lengthy interview process. I like freelancing because of the unlimited freedom but I feel that I'm quite close to the limit of how much I can charge per day. Thoughts?

Would welcome any suggestions for preparing for a BCG R1 (and hopefully beyond) in 3 weeks without a ton of interview/case experience. I don’t have a decent variety of consulting experience (and was in a non-business career before D) and didn’t make it past a Bain R1 earlier this year.
