Sounds like these could be signs of depression (not wanting to do anything or speak to anyone), have you considered professional help?

To add on to what D2 said, Accenture also has EAP benefits so you can have them send you a list of therapists to choose from. I ended up not choosing any of them after researching and found mine by looking on Psychology Today and made sure that they accepted EAP.

Please seek help. These are signs of burnout. I went through a whole year feeling similarly, and realized I didn’t have any more desire/drive both professionally and in personal life. I finally went to therapy this summer, took a lot of time off, and have now decided to transition to a different job. I am much better now, though still a long way before I get to the level of energy I used to have when I was happier in life.

Yes. Almost every day. It gets better on vacation and sometimes Saturdays - that points to stress and burnout. Realistically though sounds like you’ve also got depression (I do). I’m not managing it great, so probably not the best to give advice 😂 ideally seek therapy, consider antidepressants, exercise, eat healthy, and find small things that bring you joy. If you don’t have a dog, get one. Best thing for my depression over the past 12 years (she’s still a young and spry little thing!). Once you see that cute face, you’ll get out of bed to do anything the dog needs - including walks which is good for you to. If you find any magical cures though, let me know!!

Yes, and I suffer from mental health problems. It is mild enough for me that it does not interfere with work for the most part, but WFH has not helped. I find myself when I am at lower points sleeping late and working from home when I know I’m more productive in the office and that getting out of the house tends to make me feel better. I recommend starting with your doctor (bloodwork to rule out physical causes) and then following any recommendations to see a mental health professional. I find it really easy to put off taking care of mental health, especially if you’re like me and have ups and downs, but it is just as important as physical health.

Yes. But I also have some good days, do you? When you look at the entire past month, were there some good days or did you feel disconnected every day?

Yes, but I have a reason - a rare disease that leads to infertility. I think it would scare me much more if there wasn’t an obvious reason. I have assembled so many people to help. I have a therapist for just me. I have a lot of anger and she primarily helps with that. I have a couples therapist who helps my husband and I work through it together. I also see an acupuncturist and a rolfer, along with a team of doctors. You’re not in this world alone. Seek help.

I'm having a hard time discerning what is better in the long run for compensation. Front office investment banking (where salary comp is lower for x amount of time but could balloon to the highest at time y) Analytics or Cloud (where comp is higher or equal for x period and is potentially easier to stay in past time y) Strategy (or other highly paid) consulting (where I can't really discern it from IB other than from a skills/subject matter perspective) Could someone please share an opinion?
